I have to agree...... It's very misleading to make a hybrid of the original, and then use the name of the female.... Unprofessional and swerves the only person who does it..... At least when Elite did it he came up with his own names instead of selling them as the clone only.... I think it's pretty lame... If he ibled everyone that's a different story, but he's just making basic f1 crosses n using the clones name... Which in return fucks it all up., now everyone has a Larry that isn't Larry, a Tahoe that isn't Tahoe etc....Dude, I think you're missing the point. I'm not saying that you're not doing the community a great service and putting out solid genetics.
What I'm saying is that when a breeder puts out something like Blue Dream or Green Crack in seed form, it gets confusing for people that want the original cut. Maybe you could change the names slightly or something is all I'm saying.
haha unprofessional? Sorry that swerve is bringing the best genetics to the rest of the world. Why should he have to name the strains any different then the strain that he is trying to bring in seed form to people who can't get the "original" cut? It's less confusing to name it for what it is then to name it something new and unheard of. If I want Larry og genetics I want something called Larry og and not Larry 2 or super Larry.I have to agree...... Because you're not getting what everyone's considered Larry OG for all these years. Sure, you are getting genetics of Larry OG, but if you grow it out and take a random cut from a female plant it's not gonna be the same as true Larry OG (or Blue Bream or whatever clone only strain you're trying to replicate). Then you start getting cuts of these BS versions sent out to dispensaries, and it fucks the whole thing up. When I buy a Blue Dream clone, I wanna know it's the real thing, and not some BS replication attempt based on recombining the original genetics and see what we get.Why should he have to name the strains any different then the strain that he is trying to bring in seed form to people who can't get the "original" cut? Unknowing and/or uncaring livestock owners do close to the same and devalue the line and the name.I have to agree...... Since most marijuana "strains" have multiple phenos, that doesn't really mean much to me.There's no saving you boobs from looking uneducated!
**Cubing is bringing a "pheno" to "strain", this is called "breeding".
Then why can't you simply call them something like "CC Larry OG" or something like that?uh no
my SFV ibl is at f6-f7 the tahoe I have at f5 now and the larry same thing...
rawman if i was just using one dad then i can see how you would be saying that but these are worked lines to represent the real ogs ive been growing since 04/05 and smoking some of them since 97
and if you have the real cuts like you say you do why do you care? do u even know my back history? and how i put out shit tons of real legit elite genetics to the medical community in 05/06-07
well technically it is called CC larry og, dispensaries just choose not to label them thatway, and as they get passed along through breeders, they just get called something and thats what sticks. Im not taking sides here, im just saying its more the fault of growers and dispensaries rather than the breeders fault... Dinafem has an OG kush, I tell people that its a dinafem og kush cut if they get one from me, but if they choose to sell the bud after its done growing as plain old OG kush, thats on them. Then why can't you simply call them something like "CC Larry OG" or something like that?
I guess you still miss the point. No one's denying the hard work you've put into these lines, or the fact that the genetics are superb. The point is that when a strain is known to be "clone-only" then different phenos (and sometimes different genetics) are suddenly introduced under the same name it really makes a mess of things for folks trying to find the very specific traits of the original clone only pheno.
