Yep, its just a bit of algae, nothing to worry about.. Let those cotyledon leave die off and fall, cause that's what they are supposed to do. True leaves look fine, so just keep doin what your doin, and prepare to start a light feeding VERY Soon!!
think imma wait two more days before i buy some dynagro liquid grow for it... waiting for second true leaves to fall off and waiting for more yellowing in more of the seedlings. will the growth speed up when i start giving it 1/4 strength nutes? should i get calmag too since im using distilled water? what bout mycorrhizae this early? i was planning to use great white and house and garden root exccelerator but idk when it is safe to add them
Go ahead and feed on your next watering. Ph feed water to 5.8 +or- .3 or so. if you had an EC / TDS meter go 100ppm or less. You don't need cal/mag this time but you will need it in the future if you are using distilled h2o. I've never used great white and house and garden root accelerator. So don't know bout' them. I use superthrive in every watering to my clones and seeds.
Now if you want to simplify your future seedling starts, just start them in soil in a little 2" starter pot. Soil has all the nutes necessary to get a seeling or clone started. It's downright stupid simple. Once rooted just transplant into your hempy bottle or bucket. It's the way I start everything and it does work really well.
Folks were talking about trimming up the undercarriage lately, and well I think I took it a little further. I'm running a Main Lining experiment, but not in the purist form. I'm going to build off of 2 nodes instead of one.
Here are the 3 Maui-Thunder seedlings 38 days after sticking the seed in the soil and watering. Each has a before and after, on # 3 note that the right branch of the lower node is a wimp. All other nodes seem to have an equal power split.

I sure trimmed up these girls skirts, I'll let you know how it turns out, genius, or village idiot.
Moebius, do you top or FIM at all?
I don't top 2L hempy's. Reason being, I don't really give any veg so can't give the plant recovery time. Its not needed anyway with the SOG.
I top moms.
hey moebius if i veg my sog plants for around a month is there a way to make them into single colas? and will the extra veg time give me a bit more weight per plant
Extra veg time always gives more yield. ... Your plants will still develop a central cola, you'll probably have some side branching too with bud, dependent on strain grown.
so one should just cut off the side branching? i dont want overcrowding with 128 plants
So since you cut out the metal halide vegetative bulb, you save an extra 3-4 weeks by skipping the veg cycle entirely, yes? I don't consider myself a noobie to growing but I've barely researched veg-less grows at all.
It's the morning of the 3rd day when I normally water my C99's in the evening. My buckets are lighter than hell....gonna give them a dose of plain RO water to get through the dark period today till I can mix up some nutes for full bucket feed tonight. I can't believe these girls are only 10days into flower and they are drinking like wino's. I'll be watering every other day within the next week. This strain is really thirsty! Very, very different from the Kush I just finished.
I suggest getting the plants growing, then deciding how you want to treat them. There's only so much planning you can do before hand. You'll probably won't want to cut any branches off. If youre worried about over-crowding just reduce the veg time.
I don't suggest starting with 128. It not easy peasy. It will take a little experience to handle them all and learn the peculiarities of your own growroom.
Howdy. Just thought I'd check out some hempy porn. Nice thread. I used to grow hempy and now use flood and drain tables. I grew in 100 percent perlite, the vermiculite always seemed to stunt growth for me from too much water retention maybe. 5 gallon buckets, usually from clone. You can grow trees if you are patient.
