Yes I did install this unit. It works awesome. I can now run my mini split down past below 0. I cannot turn off my unit due to running a completely sealed room. Basically it modulates fan speed according to the temp sensor installed on the condenser. keeps the indoor unit from freezing up and keeps the oil and refrigerant from becoming sludge. It has gotten below freezing a few nights up here already and the A/C runs fine temps 12" below my 1000 watt are 77 degrees.

Just ordered one.
How is it installed? Will it be easy to mount to unit (outdoor unit, I assume) after mini-split is installed and operating? Is so I can wait for UPS to bring Head Pressure Control, no problem.

Yes Gladstoned, very easy to install . However you will need to acquire a 24vac transformer 120 or 240v depending on your outdoor unit. you need this transformer to power the unit and the temp probe. mounting can be a bitch if you have tight quarters in the outdoor unit. I just surface mounted it in the compressor area the best I could. next you need to figure out if you have a ball bearing motor or sleeve bearing motor and set the dial according to the instructions. Mounting the temp probe is easy you simply push it in between the fins on the coil. I mounted mine near the OEM temp probe for best results.

I apologize for not keeping this up to date. Wednesday is my install. It took awhile to get a contractor free to install an ac unit. People are wanting furnaces this time of year, apparently. Whatever.

I am still running my Mini split unit 24/7 for about 2 months now to cool my veg/flower room. temps outside have dropped past 30 degrees with even a little snow and the unit runs fine with the head pressure controller. temps 18" below 3000 watts are 77-79 consistently. this is with the unit set at 74 I can turn it down to 64 and the temp will be 73 18" under the light so I do have a good bit of reserve btu power.

a condensant pump is the way to go. i run my ac and dehumidifier to one and then to a trap drain.

Glad I came across this thread. I'm building a new facility next year with veg and flower room. In basement.Don't have it all figured out, but thinking of total 10'x15' room, sub-divided into veg and flower. This will all be built from scratch. Is there a MI person that designs rooms for a few $$?
