do you lose respect for celebs endorsing a politician?

.. was just wondering if people let their political ideas influence how they think about a celebrity after seeing them endorse someone running for office or not..

someone posted a video today of romney fans in ohio, and towards the end was meatloaf, the singer, pretty much down on all fours praising romney..
not that i was ever a big meatloaf fan, but after seeing that he definitely didn't score any points in my book, and yes, i probably will say i lost a bit of respect for the man..

am i the only one who does this, or are there others that do the same?? just curious, and if so, who was the biggest surprise for you as in a pretty big celeb coming out and endorsing someone that you never saw coming??

I sympathize, but I think you need to look past the political opinions of actors, and such. These people are generally complete morons in real life. Most of the best actors, for example, are flaming liberal retards. I forgive them for it.

yah, i guess you're right dd. but i have to admit that i still feel a bit differently about some of these people who come out and support someone whom i think to be a complete moron..

I will admit that when I hear these idiots pretend they have the first fucking clue about anything outside their artistic gift it is quite annoying. The ones who really send me up the wall are the crusaders, like Bono for example. Seriously, Bono should stick to being a singing Irishman, he is not qualified to be anything else.

wait a minute there slick....

i don't really appreciate their music, his voice i could do without, but outside of the stage Bono has been one of the most influential and successful humanitarians in modern history.

a crusader, he could have well decided to be a 'brett michaels' or a 'tommy lee' you know, one of those good ol' american rockers, that spend their days and their money at the playboy mansion, instead he chooses to spend a whole lot of time trying to better the lives of thousands of Africans.

I find him annoying on stage, i don't really like U2, but Bono the person, Bono the human.... there's few like him....

I don't like his music, and I think he is a complete moron with ineffective ideas about how to help people. He just recently came to the realization that "markets are important" in developing countries. He is a grown man, and he is just now figuring that out?

Here we are, talking about our views on politics. Many of us have a variety of jobs. Many of us like the ganja, while there appear to be some who don't (weird, that one). So I think to myself when reading something by ChesusRice "what a fucking loon!" (j/k Chesus).

Imagine the same thing while I watch the boob tube as audio-visual data is streamed in from space. If I disagree with someone, I disagree. But I don't begrudge them of their chosen career. They are paid to entertain us in movies, TV, and music, not give political commentary on the same level of someone who actually knows the facts. So their opinions don't mean anything to me other how I might agree or disagree.

Would you tip a waiter less if you knew his political views were opposed to yours? Simply for that alone, even if he provided excellent service? Treat the hollywood types the same way.

I will always be in love with scarlett johansson, but I don't like her Obama ad.

I'm sorry but Bono is a dickhead. I'm gonna go throw stones at his house tomorrow purely cos of your fellatio of him.

Humanitarian? No no, he's an endless self promoter.

And btw, even 90% of Irish people think he's a fucking dick. He doesn't even pay tax here (he based his business interests in Holland for tax breaks) AND gives fuck all of his own money away.

For some reason Madonna's support of Obama didn't change a thing for me. Even with her spiked tits. I do suspect that she does give decent fellatio.

I don't think it's all about politic.
"Career"
Celeb's, need to be in the Lime light or they just fade away like the countless other actors.
Got to stay in the Spot light, need the cash... "Cha Ching"

I used to think Madonna was pretty hot stuff. She is getting old now. On the other hand, age happens to all of us and I ain't exactly the handsome lad I once was either. I would be willing to let Madonna fellate me and then to offer my honest assessment of her talents.

I assume you have the same diseases she might have, just in case?
