Marijuana Now legal in CO! What does it mean for us MMJ patients?

I am wondering the extent of this new amendment... Now that adults 21 and older can grow six plants and possess an oz for recreational use, can we grow more, or do we have any better advantage? Lets hear it!

Also, What about seeds sales? can we finally stop paying that extra 10 bucks for shirts or coffee mugs for guaranteed shipping? just a speculation not a serious question....

I think the future of seed breeding is in Colorado...

When the price of herb drops to 1K a pound, quality beans and clones will become the new cash cow.

Its going to be a tuff market, lot of deterioration of strains perhaps? or could promote elite and legit strains and keep them alive and in abundance?... I think it is great either way to aknowledge that most people in Colorado are educated enough to realize cannabis is harmless and spiritual and healing...

Woooooow, didnt know that was passed in CO. Marijuana legalzation is slowly passing state by state. We're getting there, slowly but surely.

Everything will be better. Better strains, better growers, better testing, more info etc.
Thats what I hope.... I can remember a diluted strain game back when medical use came into california though clubs would claim they had this or that but it was usually bullshit.. lpeople lying and being uneducated confusing the market....

lets hope people are wiser, but i do find a lot of people that cant tell the difference between weed taste appearance or quality( ever met this guy?) lol....

I think that would be a fair price, 15 bucks a quarter oz is reasonable for the average man...

Nothing for awhile.

Dispensaries for MMJ and and ones for " regular " weed will be different.

For one thing it will be almost 8 months before it goes into effect.

Dispensaries for " regular " people will be way more expensive to set up...the zoning laws will be tighter ( If allowed at all )

The legal battle is not over...it will be appealed by the Gov.

It's a good step forward though but will take time to find out the pros and cons. ( Biggest cons is that Colorado will be known as the pot capital of the US due to people buying and then smuggling it out of state....which will bring down the Feds and maybe ruin it for MMJers.)

Regardless of the peoples will....the Feds are going to be putting Colorado under a microscope.

As far as dispensary quality and price...I don't know.

I grow my own smoke and it's just as good or if not better then the dispensary. Proud of that fact. " Thumps chest "

I do hope good quality seeds start showing up...been looking for Mango forever.

Sure but corporate growers can't turn a profit. They will buy up the small growers and corner the market. They'll have the government pass regulations that make it impracticle for small guys to continue. They will go the way of the local harware store, grocery store, lumberyard, drug store, and many other one time cottage industries.

And don't forget the taxes. Factory rolled joints at 15 bucks.... maybe more.

As Ogreb said, I imagine marijuana in Colorado is going to become much cheaper. This will force commercial growers and dealers to start moving it to other states. I can just see it now, all the other states griping that their town is full of Colorado buds. Wahhhh! Hopefully, it will change their minds so that they themselves can legalize it and reap the benefits for their own state taxes, but I know the DEA is going to be pissed.

Once everything starts happening, I doubt the medical scene will even exist anymore. How many people are going to go get the licence when they get all the same benefits other than the 2 oz. max limit? Unless they up the plant limit or something there really is no benefit anymore.

You will be able to purchase seeds at a retail outfit who is licensed to sell cannabis. I guess the limit is 1 oz of seeds per transation. You will have to pay tax also, so your 10$ goes there instead of on a T-shirt or shipping.

Although I am for legalization because it's the right thing to do, this doesn't really benefit me all that much. In fact, nothing changes for me except a smaller limit. I still have the same plant limit which sucks (3 in flower, 3 in veg) and I cannot freely grow under the sun without having to have it hidden and locked up.

The limit is 15 ounces for MMJers...I should know I have it. 12 plants..15 ounces. It's not my fault I can get 1/2 lb on one plant...just a very green and sticky thumb !

If your like me * cough * * cough * and can't smoke it...and have to have edibles or oil extract....the number and weight of your MMJ card is greatly increased.

I only grow 2 plants at a time due to weight issues.

Just want to start off by saying THANK YOU to the people of Colorado (Washington and Massachuessets too). Your strong and sensible showing at the ballot this year has set a national precedent. It is a brave stance to take and one that I sincerly hope will be echoed by people in all corners of the Stoney United States who are tired of prohibition.

I hope everyone took notice of how little mention was made of this passing on major network news last night. They will give this topic as little coverage as possible, even though it is a huge domestic issue.

The work is far from over. State-level victories have been achieved, but now the looming federal reprocussion awaits. Stand strong and know that the majority stands with you.

I cannot fully express just how proud I am of the voters' of Colorado in words. What you've done by keeping marijuana on the fore-front of political discussion is incalcuable and if you hadn't done it, no one would have.

With any luck, people in California will catch on about how to run a campaign and by this time next year it won't be "Should pot be legal?", it'll be "What are we going to do with all this tax revenue?!"
