you're confusing corn with cannabis. i did abide by state plant limits and only grew 6 cannabis plants, limiting me to a lousy 11-12 pound harvest.

also, plenty of organic, non-GMO farmers in my area. although i'm sure some do rely on government programs, i know for a fact that not all of them are collecting welfare like you do.

They all are, whether it be PLOTS, CRP, or the myriad other programs the federal government has for farmers, then the state I am in has about 129 more programs that one can qualify for. Oregon has plenty of farmers and plenty of government programs, all of which you requested.

Ladybugs eat aphids by the hundreds. I bought approximately 700,000 of them last year for about $1200.

Arbico Organics sells them pretty cheap.

the ladybugs showed up late in the season but didn't do much and i could just wash the aphids off anyway, so i did. they only damaged a few ears which i just fed to the birds anyway. the ducks and chickens go crazy for crops.

I wouldn't grow corn if I didn't have to. I would probably grow potatoes and wheat, but they don't pay shit so its gotta be corn If you want me to keep the farm producing food for starving people to eat.

Of course you would probably prefer that farmers never got any subsidy and then you and your family can try growing your own to live on. Hope that little plot of grass you got can produce the approximately 2300 pounds of food for each person in the home.
