You are interested in the corresponding positive news ... openings&expansions, hirings etc.
I am interested in scaling the prima facie impressive list of negatives against the rates at which these things have been happening. WW implies but never states that this is extraordinary, "serves us right" for re-electing the poorer economic leader.
but what if these events are not a spike, but buried in or even beneath the noise floor of the base layoff/closure rates? In that case, I accuse her news source of using statistics in the Clemensian idiom, i.e. as needing improvement before even meriting the descriptor "damned lies". Jmo. cn
