Thanks for the input Doniawon! I think I may take down the second light, but the plant does seem to be ok with the heat, I mean just yesterday it drank a whole gallon of food even though the plant appears to be ok with these temps you would still suggest to turn off the second CFL? I don't mean to be combative, I just would like to leave it on if possible. So far this whole grow temp has been 87-89º. I don't know such a dilemma! I guess what would be the pros and cons of keeping light vs removing it? The plant still seems to be thriving vegetatively but the preflower development is very slow so far; then again I am still on a 24hr light cycle. Could the slow preflower developement be from high heat even though the plant is doing fine with vegetative growth?
On a brighter note, I see 2 pistils sticking out of a few of the preflowers!!!! I have a female!!!! woohoo!!! Been trying to get it on camera but it's difficult, I don't have a macro lens for my DSLR so I use my point and shoot for my macro shots which does ok but can't seem to focus quite right on the preflower meh! I'll have to wait for them to develop a bit more before I can show them off but unless somehow males have 2 little white hairs come out of the preflower as well I definitely have a female!
When I'm off work on wednesday I think I'll cut a few clones, wait a week, then switch to flower. Am I on the right path here?
