LED+CFL Closet Coco grow

Thank you, I am shooting for quality so I hope it comes out nice. I'm worried my temps are toop high for flowering.... High heat reduces potency supposedly. My temp under.lamps is 90-95F with the LED I'm using max temp is supposed to be 90 and they say definitely don't go above 95. Optimum suggested temp is 85F the plant seems to be doing ok but I'm not sure if dropping down to the appropriate temp by removing a CFL would be better or running at a high temp with more light power.

Which should I do?

it will do better in the appropriate temp range. 75-85 f.. plants can stop growing at 90 and above, unless u start using co2? i would turn off the cfl

Thanks for the input Doniawon! I think I may take down the second light, but the plant does seem to be ok with the heat, I mean just yesterday it drank a whole gallon of food even though the plant appears to be ok with these temps you would still suggest to turn off the second CFL? I don't mean to be combative, I just would like to leave it on if possible. So far this whole grow temp has been 87-89º. I don't know such a dilemma! I guess what would be the pros and cons of keeping light vs removing it? The plant still seems to be thriving vegetatively but the preflower development is very slow so far; then again I am still on a 24hr light cycle. Could the slow preflower developement be from high heat even though the plant is doing fine with vegetative growth?

On a brighter note, I see 2 pistils sticking out of a few of the preflowers!!!! I have a female!!!! woohoo!!! Been trying to get it on camera but it's difficult, I don't have a macro lens for my DSLR so I use my point and shoot for my macro shots which does ok but can't seem to focus quite right on the preflower meh! I'll have to wait for them to develop a bit more before I can show them off but unless somehow males have 2 little white hairs come out of the preflower as well I definitely have a female!

When I'm off work on wednesday I think I'll cut a few clones, wait a week, then switch to flower. Am I on the right path here?

Ig everythings growing nice and looks healthy keep it the same! Look for yellowing at yhe plant tops for light bleaching, or taco leaves. Signs of heat issues. Take clones yes but dont forget ur lady may grow balls still in flower, no bweno. Congrats on ur luck/success so far

Taking some new pics under lighting just using a flash to see if you guys see heat damage there are a few things I'm concerned about, need to know if I should be worried. I'll post them up in a few mins, but in the meantime this is the vid where I got the info about the temps with LEDs, ProSource sent me an email when they made this video and called it the userguide. http://youtu.be/xJIjJ5nZUZw

How does she look? Mind you photos taken with just flash so she doesn't look her prettiest but I figure it's the best way to show detail.

This leaf was actually almost touching the warm CFL, didn't intend for that to happen moved it away from the light when I noticed it:

I'm worried about seeing this, could it be heat related? I believe this is called foxtailing. I've seen a few leaves have it here and there since the first few leaves started to come out, even when I was still in temp range, in fact the very first leaf did this... So it may be genetic. I'm not sure:

Haha well good, just giving her high heat, tons of light, letting the coco dry out before feeding so as to get more air to the roots. I turn her occasionally to even out the light spectrum from the CFLs on each side.

I was worried the leaves twisting was bad

My Mixture is quite simple really:
15mL Sensi Grow Part A
15mL Sensi Grow Part B
10mL Hygrozyme
PH = 5.5 - 5.7 I try to keep it right around 5.6

I mix that all up in some nice tap water(86ppm) in a gallon milk jug and give her the whole thing.

I literally water this plant every day or two with this mixture and that's all there is to it.

good info. im doing some coco now i appreciate the recipe. whats your bloom feeding schedule like?

I don't really like to have a schedule, I just wait until the coco dries out before I feed, I've read that this allows the roots to receive a ton of oxygen and force a growth spurt. You can of course tell when the top dries out that it will need water soon, then I just judge it by lifting the container and feel for weight. If it is very light and feels dry, time to feed. I of course do not wait until my plant wilts or anything.

Coco is so simple to work with it's wonderful! Like I said all I have to do it feed it when the coco dries out and that's it. With a plant the size of mine it is drinking roughly a gallon every day or so.

The only thing I plan to change for bloom is the light cycle and switch from Sensi Grow to Sensi Bloom. I've read about different bud enhancers such as Bud Candy but I've heard mixed opinions, some people just say keep it simple and don't use all the additives and whatnot, other people suggest a crazy concoction of stuff.

Look up thread on monster cloning. Take them during flower between 21 and 25 days. Put them back into veg 24 hours of light. Only use 1/4 strength nutes until roots form. Yield 30 to 50 more they say.

Thanks for the suggestion. After reading up on it, it seems there are a lot of disputes about losing potency, etc... So I'd rather stay away from it, at least for now.

My plan is to cut a few regular clones today, put them in the dome, then put the dome in a cabinet with a 23W CFL in a desklamp. I'm going to give the mother a week to recover and keep these clones until the mother is done flowering, then put the clones into my grow room to veg, then before flowering clones cut clones from them. And repeat the cycle. Will this process work?

Flaxseeds are very anti-inflammatory so it's in my green smoothies (helps my scoliosis) Did not know it was 6-3-2, interesting. I get whole seeds at WinCo and throw them in my Blendtec, turns them to powder. Will have to look into this.
