Damn, you boys in the oil fields sure make a great living..

The most I've ever seen on a single paycheck in my entire 25 years of existence is < $600

Navy sounds pretty good to me.. @ $1,200 +/every other week (1st and 15th)
What recruiter told you that? Base pay for an E1 is nowhere near that. I saw about $1,600 a month after taxes as an E3 with over 3 years in. Unless you're married? BAH does equate to a noticeable pay jump.

Edit: Remembered that I had a few allotments set up, so I didn't account for that. I still never came close to $2,400 a month.

we already have enough of the lower 48 in alaska. Wish LA would call and tell its gangs to come home. Ruining my great state!
Things sure have changed in the 30 years I have been here. The police seem more violent these days than the criminals.

lol at the guy at who said im a prick for my post, made my day.

but ya oil field work in alaska is scarce nowadays unless you know who to talk to, also thanks for the correction on nabors, i wasnt to sure as ive only heard the name and nabors for sure is a lesser company up here but money still to be made.

another thing is my post wasnt targeted to offend, if you got experience and someons likes you up here then alaska is a dope place to be. if your real hardcore you can come do ice road making up here, ive got a buddy whos willing to help me out with a job but shit its some work but the pay is amazing and your not working 2 week hitches but more on he job to be completed so you can rack up mad cash quick with the right company.
