!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for everyone that wants to see what a MAGNESIUM deficiency looks like, check out this photo of the original post from xanther.

the yellowing of the leaves, but the veins stay green = MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY.

I seem to come across this deficiency a lot, due to having hard water.

Yo Xanther, them plants could use an epsom salt treatment!

Cannabis = LOVES magnesium.

Hey Ragin you mentioned in you logs that you had cool and daylight in there, Maybe I missed it but shouldnt you have warm light now that your flowering, being it has closest to the red spectrum?? lookin awsome either way cant wait till I start the fabrication on mine:peace: other than the light shield and something about the exhaust (kinda forgot, smoke another 1, right?) was there any other tweaks done to fine tune the box?? 1 more thing I read in the DIY about the co2 but its to make half gal. saw you have a reg water or pop bttle. in with yours can you tell what your amount of sugar and yeast was?? I did 1 liter water, 2 cups sugar, 1 tbl spoon yeast, sound about right??thnks
I only had 2 daylight cfl's but have switched them to the soft white cfl's like the rest. Now I am running 6 42 watt cfl's. The light shield and I added an extra passive intake were the only things I added. The lights are off now but will be getting pics of tonight of the heat shield. I didn't measure the sugar just filled the bottom of the 2 liter bottle the added some water and 1 tsp of yeast.

Here are some updated pics. Leaves on plant C are still twisted after flushing them. I'm not sure what else it could be. Leaves on plant B have also started to twist. I have also included some pics of my heat shield. Some one sent me a pm asking to see pics so here they are. What do you guys think? Plant A & B have some nice buds on them but plant C's buds look pretty bad. They are 5 1/2 weeks flowering.

Plant A:

Plant B:

Plant C:

Heat Shield:

I used velcro to attach it to the underside of the light fixtures.

Ohhh so thats how you attached the plexi... Too bad i cant do it this way my lights come in from the top ill have to find another way. Can you really tell the difference in heat though??? Dam that right fan is the same exact one ive planning to get:-) Is it really loud, cause i have some old and really loud pc fans that i might try to replace with this. Oh and the ladies are lookin real good too, how old are they? do you have a pic of a bird eye view, like from the top?

The heat shield brought temps from high 80's to mid-upper 70's. The pc fan is completely silent. I don't hear it at all. They are 8 1/2 weeks old. 5 1/2 weeks into flowering. I will try to get a top view pic up next time I take pics. Thanks for taking a look at the girls!:blsmoke:

Oh no i meant the other fan, pc fans get too expensive in the long run so im trying to get a fan like the one on the right of your pic to use as intake and exhaust

LOL, ive copied your set up to a "T" ive just spent the past 3 hours building it, now its ready for action.

My lights are coming down from the top though, so im going to get some wood dowels and span them across the bin to act as a support for the plexi glass. I just got the glass from the front of a poster frame, so i think it will do just fine!

I also remember reading that you ended up adding a second passive intake? could you give some more info on to why and if its doing anything for you?

lastly, care you share on your watering/feeding schedule? you've been a great inspiration to me, this is something i can do on my own and you're off to a great start. your plants look healthy and id love to continue to follow in your foot steps.

How long did you leave the plants in veg for?

When's the last time you checked your root system?...your plants could be suffering from being in too small a pot, you may need to transplant. Plant C is looking like it could be all rootbound, as well your other 2 could be as well.

The other fan doesn't make much noise either. All around the whole box isn't loud at all. That pc fan I got was $10. The other fan was $6.

how much yield are you expecting?

will you grow any differently next time?
From the looks of things the yield is looking like it will be small. I am planning the next grow now. I have purchased a 400 watt hps with a cool tube reflector and plan to put it in a homebox small or a secret jardin DR80. I can't wait to get it all set up.

The second intake was added because I noticed that when I lifted the top tub the fan pushed a alot more air. I figured the fan wasn't strong enough to pull air with just one intake so I added another larger intake. I water about every 3 days and feed everyother watering. I vegged mine for 3 weeks. Hope this helps. Good luck with your grow.:blsmoke: Are you going to log your grow?

I was thinking that could be my problem also. I guess it was a noob mistake putting them in 8" pots. I have them all tied down to these pots. Do you think it would still be possible to transplant? Thanks for the advice!:blsmoke:
