If you let the roots on cuts grow long they can be in res right away. Some clones take up to 2 + weeks to root so dont toss em at 7 days if no roots. 2 inchers will tend to be shorter than the bigger ones but sometimes they catch right up. If your conditions are right you can get a foots growth in a week. month and a half you can make a clone a bush.

So its just about harvest for me again. Day 59. My jack kushes are definitely done. Elephant done but think it can plump. White widow, svf kush x chemdawg, berry bomb, and blue dream all need about 10 more days or so. Gonna let the elephants and jacks go long as poss although i took down a purple sour d an elephant and a dream today for some daytime smoke. It is looking like i will get a lot better yield this go (next will rock now that i have 2 hempy runs in) than the last run. Adding another 600 definitely played a part buds are rock hard. Guessing a lb give or take. Still not awesome for 1200 watts but getting there.securedownload-243.jpgsecuredownload-269.jpg Elephant looking pretty but this jack kush is gorgeous

Let me jump on up in here too. I've grown every way imaginable, and been doing soil for the last 2+ years. Quite honestly Im bored. I want to go back to hydro, but its just not in the cards right now space wise, or cost wise. I want to go back to flood table, need a bigger tent, etc. Anyways, this little hempy bucket will at least give me a little variety to hold me over! My starter soil is happy frog, which is light nute-wise. The plan is to keep the soil, and set the height right at the top of the perlite res level. The soil should be void of nutes soon enough and Im going to try these CNS17 samples I got. I havent played out the solution mix with my current water situation yet. I am lazy and the plan is to use a level of nutes that puts the PH where I want it. LOL we'll see how that pans out after some testing.

My test subject. A train wreck X fruity chronic.

My nutes. I also have some other supplements I can throw in as needed.

My perlite. Its a little smaller grain than I'd like but at $20 for 4 cu. ft. of it I'll suffer.

And my 1.5g bucket from dollar tree! I'm probably going to only give the plant a week to adjust before putting it to 12/12

I cracked the bucket like a dumbass trying to drill a hole in it, so Im waiting for the glue to dry on that before I put the plant in. Used a soldering iron after that oops.

LOL, I cracked one too using a spring loaded punch just to make a starter dent for the drill bit..Here's a tip for cracked plastic....to keep the crack from propagating further, drill a tiny hole at the end of the crack. Stress in the material is relieved radially at the end, keeping it in control. Then glue like a mo-fo!

Welcome aboard supchaka. Using a soil core in a hempy bucket works great. Just fill in all around the soil core with perlite, and I'd recommend capping the top inch or inch & a half with soil also. Then just feed it and watch it rock.

Hey guys need help really bad! My ezclone 120 is making the new cuttings have light brown stems under the neoprene collars. Is this stem rot? The temp of the water is really cool not high at all. What could it be?

Im sorry dude, they're dead by the sound of it. ... Those light brown stems are necrotic so I would start again.

I did have a couple go like this a few weeks back for some strange reason. It happens.

Not my vid but maybe it helps anyhow.

Here she is! I'm already excited! New medium, new nutes, new plant, I'm virgin again! The nute solution turned out perfect as I'd predicted :) as per the "low" feeding schedule. 1 gal Straight tap water, 1tbsp grow, a dash of h2o2 and a pinch of amber humic and I'm floating 5.9-6ph and around 600 ppm. When I up the nutes a bit it should get me in the 5.8 range.

Looks nice, but I hope you don't mind a question. I understand the hydrogen peroxide, never seen it used in hempy, but I understand it's purpose.
I've never heard of amber humic. Could you please enlighten me?

Should look like this on the bottom of the clone:

Staring off...

Humic acid provides bio-stimulant effect via slow release of auxin like material naturally found in humic substances of certain geological origins. Chemically bonds to both, positive and negative charged nutrient molecules providing a source of efficient biological electron bridges. Humic acid enhances nutrients available in either acidic or alkaline nutrient solution and improves a plant’s ability to utilize nutrients, recommended for hydroponic system containers and native soil growing conditions.

AKA Snake oil :) It was a free sample so I said hey Ill throw it in there.

Thanks for the info. I see now that amber humic is a brand name.

My snake oil for yrs has been floralicious plus, a little over a yr ago GH let out that fulvic acid was part of the formula. Had to look it up to see if this was important. It always seemed to help the plants through all the stress I'd put on them.

& ya gotta love free samples

Yeaah dude what moebius said. brown is death. You may want to try rockwool or perlite cloning to start out.
Well I paid 300 for the 120 system so I want to dial it in. Like buying a motorcycle and throwing it away cuz u can't ride it. It's not brown it's more tan color. Only 24 hrs old maybe I'm being paranoid too quickly?

Aero cloning is the easiest method going. If clones don't take off, its more likely due to making a poor cutting. You'll get there.

Edit:
Dont know if I said this already but a 2" cutting is too small. .. If it does root, it will need feed to develop a long root system. I use shorty cuttings for moms, by vegging them on.

what do u mean by a poor cutting? like choosing the wrong branch to clone or how i cut it?
A poor cutting might be - too short, not using sharp scissors, not cutting beneath a node.

A good cutting will be - 4" - 6" long. 45 degree sharp cut. Firm stem.
