Perhaps it's sun burn- too much of one tight band of spectrums?
Mmmm I appreciate your efforts in this. But it shouldn't be that and it wouldn't look like that.

Monochromatic colours doesn't necessarily mean thight band. Cree xpe and the rebel 660 are fantastic because even being monochromatic their band isn't as narrow. It has been noted that narrower monochromatic chips (like some Chinese) do tend to burn and/or plants don't respond nicely to that. A 660 can range from 640 to 670+ or be as narrow as 655-665.

There is fewer people on riu can chime in on this, but you have to understand there is business involved... over at ic, if you ll bring that up you'd see;)

In fact, you notice some companies offering reds 630, and than an other chip 640 and 650 and so on...

You don't really want that, it's better a larger band monochromatic... especially with deep blue and far reds... look at those panels being more burning than others;)

Correct. Basically the mould is a machine with custom fitted parts to stamp out the metal case.

Might use lenses, might not. I am going to test with/without in many ° to see what has the highest PAR average over every part of the intended footprint. I was talking with the folks at Heliopto and they make lenses that they say will work good for me, but they only go up to 50°. http://www.heliopto.com/files/HELIXEON_Lens DS-06-09-01.pdf

Any idea which of your 2 lights are performing better? I haven't paid too much attention to plasma lighting, seems though they are getting better than they were last year.

Sounds great EH (2 models=2 different moulds??;-)".........still no secondary lenses on these new models right??

I wonder how much the laid that stampe out the molds would cost to have your own. I know that record laids cost over $20,000 then the laids that stamp out laids cost over a $100,000

I paid pretty close to 20k for the mould for the AF600, and that doesn't include the parts that I supply myself. But the price would vary from one factory to the next, a few places wanted over 40k, while others offered to do it for free if they could own the complete rights to it, which would only basically amount to me designing a light for the place for free, and then selling it for them.

Cidly offered the worst deal, they wanted me to pay 30k, and they wanted to have the rights to sell the lights to customers outside the US, and they insisted I use their LEDs and drivers, and I wasn't on board with that at all.

I vote for NO secondary lenses......ha..........I sure they will be top notch again.........Have no idea on which panel is better/ different strains and such....I just want to see how they perform with such little wattage........

Beautiful!
Thanks............can't wait to see those great strains of yours finish...GSC yummy

Early indications at week 1 on the IG side by side are that the Pfr switch 730/660 combo is outproducing 52:32 the straight 420 side.

Check out the day 8 notes and the high res gallery @ http://www.inda-gro.com/cam.html

A better mousetrap to come perhaps.
It should be quite a difference when all done...........you'll see how important 660nm is to plant growth/bloom..

How much height do you have there sir? Maybe it's time to buy a bag of soil, slice it open, then open that bottom off of your planter and just plop it into said bag of mix. Let those roots grow some more. Maybe it'll kick that P def's ass.

Thank you Jubi.............the cheese girl is gonna be a handfull though..

Yes plenty of height but no width...........the cheese is past the effective coverage area of the led panel already / way too tall for it also IMO.....gonna have to continue restricting her root system...........great advice Fran.

According to what I am experiencing, some plants do not like much 660

On 1/3 plants under the same light 2 were fine with the amount of 660 I was using, however, the other, the secondary leaves clawed. I removed it 3 weeks ago and all the new secondary leaves since are flat
- normal
I've been getting some clawing with the LS strain quite a bit, but it's only happening to the plants that are in soil. All of the plants that are in straight Coco/perlite have never clawed once. It may be that 660nm pushes the plants to grow faster and demand more oxygen to the rootzone. If the oxygen is not available this stresses the plant and makes the leaves claw to try and preserve what it has left to survive.

O line, D line , secondary, safety, etc. etc...........the kid seems to be a pure pocket passer, kinda impressed. Still should not be winning games at this point IMO

Yep hopefully have this done soon, the cheese is a 100+ day girl from the looks of her......Maybe Vick will be back next year

Interesting theory........but it seems to usually be an overfert issue under leds, instead of the 660nm.........Not sure though, this is only my second run under leds...so IDK shit really.

ILP's cheesedream @ 55 days since germ under the Hans led panel(65watts):
007.jpg008.jpg009.jpg010.jpg011.jpg removed the leaves with the heaviest necrosis (15-20) and all the new growths^^^ are showing signs of P def so I decided that it's time to add more ferts.....I top-dressed her with the rest of my soil mix and added 1/2 strength of RO bloom fert/ liquid beni bac/ and watered the bitch today....gonna lose some yield from this unfortunately, should see her bounce back within a week.

Looking good Psu. The IG ones are looking much more frostier. That could be strain or not. The led one looks huge. cheese grows huge. They look happy

btw I made a compost / guano tea last night using the uprising. Going to water them with it in a little bit. I will let you know how it goes. I noticed during flower with top dressing, the plant does not recover near as quickly as it does in veg. Sometimes not at all. Or its just that I added top dressing a little too late. That's only been with my master kush.

Man I`m reading this thread and it`s making me hate how fucking busy work has been

I mean I got home the other day and check my plant`s vegging and the pot for my aeroponics was dry I must`a had zero free time at home for 3 or 4 days and not realized lol

Anyway I got some small plants under the 200w 3000k induction just waiting for them to get over running a bit dry the other day then they can go in a bigger box and I can make some room in the tent to take some pictures of the led induction set up.

It`s just half being used for storage if it was not winter I could get all the pots and biobizz out the way by stuffing seeds in them and putting them in the sun like this story I was told as a child when weed was grown everywhere but that was before it came the darkness the night the gay war on drugs !
