Flushing Marijuana

Can you flush marijuana plants faster by cutting them at the bottom and putting them in containers of plain water? I seen someone do this on youtube before and it seems to make more sense instead of watering the soil. Anyone know?

I just looked up water curing but I still don't understand what the difference is. Wouldn't that flush all the nutes out of the plant faster if its drinking just plain water right away?

Maybe something was lost in the communication. Are you talking about cutting the plant down, then putting it in water?

No, that's not flushing. Flushing is done while the plant is alive. It would really be best not to worry about flushing or other questionable and unnecessary practices at this time. Just try to grow it to finish and that'll be all you need for now. You can study up on other stuff later.

I seen a lady do this on youtube. I tried it before and the plants did suck up the water that was in the cups. I guess this isn't a popular method or good method or more people would be doing it?

It's finished I just didn't know the best way to go about flushing it. I guess I would just use plain water on it for awhile and go from there...

Yes, I want to cut it at the bottom stem and stick it in plain water.
Even if it did drink the water, How is that flushing anything out?? The only thing you should flush is your toilet after taking a shit.
MJ doesn't need to be flushed, chopped or not.

It doesn't? Why not?
I grow organically and don't flush, I just stop giving nutes when I water for a while. You don't need to flush when grown properly. Flushing is illogical in that we dot flush anything else, all those nasty "nutes" are in t he tomatoes and broccoli still. But that all is aside from the fact that most of these "nasty nutes" are immobile within the plant anyways. The nutes are not defying gravity and capillary action to go back DOWN the stock and back OUT of the roots. It's just a misconception that fuels the need for flushing. Proper drying and curing is all that is needed. Damn I get suckered into this conversation every time!

What if you grew in miracle grow? Could you just do the same thing? Is drowning just for hydro only?

I grow in soilless, which is sorta hydro. But I grow organic in that soiless/hydro medium.Nutrients are what are known as mobile and immobile, no matter what method you choose. some nutes move around in the plant, but mostly all of them including the important ones are only moving one direction, UP. I can't give you a horticultural lecture here, but this knowledge is easily accessed on the Internet NOT on forums but in published papers.

I've seen alot of unflushed product that crackles and sizzles aka fireworks when smoked. I cut nutes and run ph'd h20 w/ 1-2 tsp per gal of organic unsulphured molasses for the last week and consider that my "flush". Everything always turns out top notch. Always smokes smooth, taste great and always burns clean to a grey ash. I usually do a 2 week cure as well

This is what i run when flushing and during the last 3 weeks of flower.
