I'm thinking of going MH or HPS for the light. What should I do, how should I figure that out? And I'd most likely end up leaving the CFL hanging around for supplemental light.
IDK on that one man, check out some of the guys in the indoor section if you don't get suggestions here (But I think you will), but until then, that looks MUCH better, but a suggestion, spin your end cups every few hours or so because of the dark side being on the ends, and daily shuffle them to the middle of the line.
I think you could even go a LITTLE lower, I'd say within an inch or inch and half, as long as you're not too warm, but you're on track.

Here's an update. This is what they look like now, but one of my lamp fixtures broke somehow, it won't turn on. So I'm 2 light bulbs short til tomorrow. Pots are all 1.1 Liter, and have been watered with superthrive for the last week. They did have a small co2 deficiency, but that was before I moved them here and transplanted them all. I had them at a friends house since he had an empty closet for a few days. I told him to put a fan on them throughout the day with the doors opened, but he "forgot" -_-

He also got a little too happy when watering. I showed him the exact measurement of water to give them and he pretty much went through 2 liters of water in 3 days for 24 solo-cup plants. They were nearly drowned over there. But they should recover quickly.
The amount of water each time isn't as important as the frequency of watering.
You want enough through them that you get good runoff, but let them dry out between waterings.

IMHO I think ur first mistake is using miricale grow... I used it in my first and second grow and got bugs and small yields both times. I honestyly don't think u can buy MG without bugs already being in it.. My advice is buy Neem oil. U r gonna need it.. Good luck.

Come on guys, be nice... LOL
My last one was outdoors, 2 plants, in MG moisture control, and no bugs, no burning, and this one is inside, with same soil+MG perlite, MG nutes used on both.
Pics taken monday, at 35 days old.
Measured 12" tall, and 17" wide.
Since then, have had 1" vertical growth, and 5" horizontal growth as of tonight when I turned lights on.Pic4dec14_zps77988670.jpgPic12dec14_zps5e168f18.jpgPic8dec14_zps388a8826.jpg

So here's an update or whatnot. This is what they look like as of yesterday, I will be taking pictures when I head over to check them out today. I don't have the MH bulb up yet because I'm using an outdoor floodlight as a ballast, it doesn't have a plug for an outlet so I will make my own power cable this week and use that. Then I have to figure out how to place it above the plants but yeah.

I've got timers for the lights now so I can take them off of 24/7 lighting. This is what they look like as of now:

I'd love to do that.. But I think I might just be keeping them in the 1.1 quart pots I have them in. Or maybe I'll move them to 2 gallon pots maximum. That's still a lot of space being taken. Anyway, figure they'll be nice and bushy in these pots, that way I can practice LSTing too.

I forgot that I had planned on transitioning anyway. I had the timers set for 18-6 and didn't remember about the transitioning thing until I had already left the plants and didn't have enough time to go back and change them. So they'll be on 18-6 tonight and then-on til flowering.

I just figured transitioning to 18-6 would reduce the stress because transitioning to 12-12 from 18-6 takes quite some time too, in order to reduce stress.

Nah.
I just straight popped mine from 20/4 to 12/12 and it didn't even phase it.
In fact, it grew almost 3" vertical and over 7" in width in the first 5 days.
(Be patient man, no need to double post;-)...... We'll make it back here.
I'm subbed.)

Hmm. I figured it would be less stress on the plant, but if you've done straight 12-12 after a 20-4, then it should be okay. I was thinking transitioning down within a week for flowering. Figure I won't now, it'll save me some trouble anyway.

And yes, suppose I could just end that other thread and re-direct them here. :p Just figured I would reply to whoever replied on that one.

You could do your thing if you want, it won't hurt.
I'm just saying, I was too lazy, and didn't think of it, and it didn't hurt mine.

I'd only do it as a precautionary measure; if it didn't hurt your plants, it shouldn't hurt mine. I was just speculating what I thought was more reasonable based on what I've read throughout RIU.

Either way, it's too late for me to do that now. They're on 18-6 for tonight cause I didn't have time to go back and change it. And I'm not going to amplify the stress by mixing up the night hours after tonight.
