I realize in your world being delusional and acquiring weapons based on those delusional thoughts is normal behavior, but in the real world it is not and those types of people should not have guns, as we see at the expense of 20 kids. Her fucked up thinking was passed and taught to her kid who also had access to the guns.

Where did you dig up this "definition"? Every soldier worth his salt knows that an assault weapon is a carbine with a select-fire provision. No selective fire ... not an assault weapon. cn

Don't be a drama queen. I never said any of that. As hard as it may be to wrap your brain around, there could easily have been a scenario where she forgot to lock the guns up, had them out cleaning them and got distracted and forgot about them, etc.

(iii) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel and that permits the shooter to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned;
(iv) A manufactured weight of fifty ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded; and
(v) A semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm; or
(C) A semiautomatic shotgun that has at least two of the following:
(i) A folding or telescoping stock;
(ii) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;

A genuine assault weapon, as opposed to a legal definition, is a hand-held, selective fire weapon, which means it's capable of firing in either an automatic or a semiautomatic mode depending on the position of a selector switch. These kinds of weapons are heavily regulated by the National Firearms Act of 1934 and are further regulated in some states.

what are you republican? I give you two currrent definitions of what Everone says a assult weapons are and you still deny he used a assult weapon in the attack. I dont think a hunting rifle like a m1 or a 8mm or 7mm mauser (they were used in the theater of war) that holds limmited amount of rounds, are NOT assault weapons, but any weapon that can be equiped with a large mag, lets say more than 15 rounds, like the 100 round drums you can put on what you say is not a assault weapon, ARE ASSAULT WEAPONs. The AR15 he used is in that catagory

The legal definition is not the real definition. You ever serve time in the military and actually learn how firearms and weapons are classified? An M1a does not qualify to be an assault weapon, but it will fuck you up for certain since it has a high capacity magazine and shoots a 7.62 mm Cartridge (Win .308).

Weapons do not get classified by their looks, but by their function.

The legal definition is not the definition, its just the stupid lawyers who wouldn't know an assault weapon from a ruger 10/22
