MORE guns, whether in the hands of "good" people or not, will not decrease gun deaths. In fact they will increase.

There are roughly 200-300 justifiable homicides in the US every year. There are roughly 800-900 accidental gun deaths in the US every year. Increase the amount of guns, and BOTH of those numbers go up.

So for every armed intruder that a gun owner kills, 3 to 4 people will die from a gun being left out, or a kid playing with dads gun, etc.

How about replace all classroom doors with bullet proof doors that lock electronicaly? Have to get buzzed in or out, with master control in main office. You could lock a gunman in if needed.

Maybe all the outside doors and windows be secured and stronger inside doors lockable by the teacher but only people coming, not going, fire danger.

I don't agree and I tell you why.
Lets lock the doors so no one can run away from the bad man, but instead just be a sitting duck. You know those kids knew what was coming for them, they wrote notes saying goodbye, they had time to think about being shot because they could not get away, teachers already locked the doors, but he shot out the locks.

If you are a rampaging maniac hell bent on killing as many as possible, shooting fish in a barrel is much easier than shooting fish in the sea.
