What's your experience with trying to clone a F.I.M'd plant?
And as far as the CFL veg. length, I read that older bud is better and understand that to be fact?. So are you with an extended veg?
I'm going with an extended veg. with my Widows.
My Bubblelicious is an auto-flower, so what I'd like to do it veg them the duration of the Bubblicious, that way I can keep the lights at 18/6 without having to divide the plants at least. I've been fairly rough on the leaves and stems with all the bending/LST/tucking so I've managed to keep them bushes, but do you think I can manage them for 2/3 more months in 3 gals soil? Or is that pushin' it?

And I know I just bombarded you with questions lad, but I'll return the favor around the way.
I feel like I know so much, yet there's so much more that I don't you know

And in regards to the photo above, You've gotta believe me when I say that I sat there for a good minute looking at that photo trying to think of what to say about that seriously lol.

Cool! Your Bubblelicious is only a couple days older than mine! I mixed up two seeds when germinating and, until about a week ago, thought it was a different plant. The way it is growing recently made me pretty sure it was the auto. Now that I see pics around the same age, there's no doubt that she's the Bubblelicious. I'm still not sure when I'll add some flower lights. I might have to stick with 18/6 though, since I'm trying to nurse the other plant back, but supposedly, 18/6 is fine for an auto.

In redgards to the "huh",Basically I read that clones of a F.I.M'd plant with have a harder time rooting because you change going cell structure when you make the F.I.M cut, so I was wondering what you thought about that.(If it's possible to clone a F.I.M'd plant) Def. gonna get on with the super-cropping

dude, the light setup that you have...looks excellent, looks like a multi headed hydra love it! and the plants are looking great too! would be nice to follow, I have a blue widow seed for my next run and I am really curious what you'll develop with yours! happy growing man!

I wonder when it'll will actually start flowering tho? Mine are all starting to pre-flower right now as they're picking up pistils by the day still in Veg.
But until I can get an electricity bill for this month/quarters use with all the CFLs, I'm boycotting 24hours haha Just to be easy on the power. so 18/6 it is.
One thing I know for sure tho is that if you are growing an auto and you switch it to 12/12 you gonna hurt the yield. You gotta make sure it's an auto before you flip because they're gonna do the opposite thing when you switch them to 12/12. This from what I've read. 24hours light is optimal for them!

I use mother plants,But when you fim and take cuts depending on how many of course,Can cause too much stress and get you a hermie.

AS far as changing cell structure IDK but i bet money it will still clone,If its not a Auto.
Clones from different strains makes a BIG difference,AS some are just stick in the soil and they root clones others can be a Bitch.

You do understand FIM Fuck I missed.....A guy tried to top and didnt get enough,Thts where the name is from.

These are what i use perpetual 3x Vegg and 3x flower 1x a cloner modified WF, and the last is for my bigass Mother plant.

Dont buy them they can be made easy just get black 5g bucketts and lid i use 2 8"airstones and Aquarium pump for 60g dual outlet,Total about 30-40 bucks for each.My last harvest one plant was over 8ozs of top qual

ity nugs no popcorn.

Gotcha bud. I've only taken made 1 F.I.M cut per plant, and don't plan on making any more. Just LSTing.
And yeah I understand F.I.M vs. Topping. I F.I.M'd all three with hope of an explosion of budsites, and I'd say it happened.
But yeah, you guys will see if White Widow and Blue Widow are good with clones. I'll attempt to clone just before I switch them to 12/12.

And yeah that's a sexy setup man. Looks simple but I'm sure it's elaborate. I haven't looked into hydro AT ALL, so I wouldn't be sure what to do with all that initially. Either way..I'll get er done. Just gotta figure out how to pull it off with soil first. When I master this(or at least get it down to a T) I'll move on.

And I just wanted to say that I'm currently LoLing at these Craigslist people trying to sell old magnetic ballasts and used bulbs for more than you can buy a new one via eBay.
I got a guy asking $175 for an old 400w and the bulb is used.

World, don't be HAD! You can get a 400w for $105.00 Complete from ebay. Look for the iPower digital guys.
I'm looking into some more lighting so I'm always comparing prices..Sometimes with Craigslist you win, sometimes you lose.
Be patient so you don't lose.
On the other hand, I got a guy selling a 300w LED for $150.00. And I'm hoping to meet him ASAP!

I'm def. looking to get the best possible lighting rig for the space I have Beech. The problem is I can't vent thru anything, and I'm in an apartment and don't know how comfy I'd be with all the sounds and vibrations in such a confined space.
I do what I can now to keep it down with the small oscillating fan I have by using the topper beneath it and the stools it sits on. Doesn't cut it out 100%. but it does somewhat help.

I have that 8" Ozonator and the 8" duct fan that I don't even use because the fan is so damn loud. I have the ducting you see as well, but cant vent thru anything..So that project so far has turned out to be more buck than bang. I'll get a fan speed controller here in the next couple days and see what that does..
But yeah what are the temps like with the 400w?

Being able to control that is the main reason I'm working with CFLs ATM. That and being inspired by what I've seen goin' on @ RIU with CFLs.

Started germinating more beans yesterday by the way! Just didn't find/make time to post.
The next crop in rotation is gonna be a 12/12 from seed crop(inspired again by RIU), and will work a solo cup system.
I've read some interesting things recently challenging the theory of plants ever getting root bound and would like to see some results for myself..Plus this Attitude promotion I plan to bring in some heavy hitter freebies, so I'm gonna go ahead and get myself on with the self sufficient plan, so I can make love to the hazes I'll be getting for free.
Any suggestions will be appreciated, as to what 4/5 others I'll buy. Def. gonna grab a Pineapple Express and a Chocolope.

But I started:
x1 Delicious Seeds Critical Jack Herer
x3 Seedsman White Widow
x2 bag seed(hopefully I get a male for some pollen!)
All wet paper towel method. Well see how my 100% germ rate goes too!

Probably not this (my first) time. I started a thread about my home-built cabinet in the stealth section when I first joined, but I haven't kept that up. I killed one Bub seedling when I took the humidity tent off too soon. I broke the base of the stem on my Nirvana Blackberry (non-auto) seedling which disconnected the roots. However, I've managed to nurse it back to health. Although it is very, very yellow, it is stuck in the ground now (coco) and showing new growth. It is as old as the Bub, but looks like a very sick barely-past-seedling plant.

Here's your girl's distant sister at one month and one day:



She's even taller now - just three days later. I have other Nirvana seeds, so perhaps I will journal my next grow.

Update tho.

Got some new additions today(12/30/2012) that are all gonna be 12/12'ers. I'll start establishing that once they show themselves.
With that said I'm still 100% srtong on my germination % based on seeds I've bought and germinated via wet paper towel method..
So..If it ain't broke...you know
But the new additions are x1 Critical Jack(Delicious Seeds) x3 White Widow(Seeds man) and a bonus bag seed thanks to a local friend who unknowingly supplied it with some nice smoke. I started germinating one more bag seed that didn't show a taproot yet, but it was a green seed. Just wanted to see what would happen. It's pregnant but hasn't bursted yet..We'll see.
Oh yeah and the leaves we're showing some heat stress so I hung a box fan above the lights..Makeshift

Ordered two more light setups that should be here by the 1/3 so I can beef up a lighting a lil' more. Also got a quart Ona and soil moist

Me too..Alot From low RH.My lights and heater zap all the Humidity,on top of tht my damn Humidifier broke,and a heater.
