That was the max per plant. My average went from 3oz to 4oz at that point. Why do you think the 400 watt difference only got you one extra ounce? did you mess up some where?
Certainly do. 12 soil under 600w. I still remember my first beer, yes.and, do you remember your first grow? what was it?
My favorite question:
Soil with 600w lights = 6oz
Soil with 1000w lights = 7oz
Hydro with 1000w lights = 22oz
Average:
Soil: 4oz
Hydro: 10oz
Last yield:
Biggest: 18oz
Smallest 12oz
Very nice, hydro seems to be better because the roots can use more of the space, but it seems like hydro is a lot harder.the 22oz came from an 18gallon tote bin.
the 10oz average come from 5gallon bucket system
Well, I was just telling someone that it only takes me 2 minutes to transplant a 10" netpot basket from a 5 gallon bucket to an 18 gallon tote. The transplant factor is completely gone. Sounds way easier than soil transplanting.Very nice, hydro seems to be better because the roots can use more of the space, but it seems like hydro is a lot harder.
Yeah i would imagine that it is a pain to get used to, but once you do, it is easier than soil.Well, I was just telling someone that it only takes me 2 minutes to transplant a 10" netpot basket from a 5 gallon bucket to an 18 gallon tote. Air/Water/Nutrients is all I need for my ladies. No dirty soil to dispose of ever. That sounds easier to me also You cant pour soil down the drain, but I can surely pour water down a drain.
So, it comes with a set of pros and cons list, that's for sure.
Hydro is actually a lot easier for me. There will be a learning curve for everyone but really after you do it for a while, it's pretty much second nature.
I would wait until after the move to plan for this. I would focus on making sure your money is right for the trip. Afterwards though, yes, hydro is not a bad route to go. You can do it for pretty cheap or you can get complex with it. All depends on your style of growing and what works well for you and what you're comfortable with.High guys, i have a 600w small closet grow going right now (I live in San Francisco). I'm moving to Maine with my brother to get legitimately started as growers in a few months...
My question is, should I invest in hydro equipment? Is it something that would make my aspirations more lucrative? Thanks for any replies! And if there are any mistakes, i just took a huge dab hit
Couldn't pay me enough to do that.dude, just grow in soil.
weed snob alert.Couldn't pay me enough to do that.
I didn't say I'm better than you because I'm a hydro guy. I said you couldn't pay me enough to grow in soil again. Nothing snob bout it. It's just more hassle in certain areas of growing that I don't care to deal with over the hydroponic method.weed snob alert.
Well, to be honest, I would gather as much information about it as you can. You could like a DWC setup over a NFT setup. You might not be able to run certain hydro systems in closets. Some require more space. If i went the hydro route, I would definitely rig something together...any suggestions for a 600w setup? I don't mind soil, but things definitely cannot be adjusted quickly. Also, I have heard of legendary growth rate and potency from hydro or aero.
