How many of you are going to bitch about Obama care after 2016?

Even If I lost my medicare I would still have great insurance. I have insurance through my wife! So no medicare is not what keeps me alive.
I must have hit the nail on the head with the best buy guess???
Obamacare mandates your wives insurance can't drop you

Your doctor is going to quit practicing? Really? 10 years of school, and he's just going to go flip burgers at Wendy's instead?

That's the same logic as people that claim that professionals will stop making millions if their taxes go up by 3% .... because it just won't be worth it anymore.
Yeah, look him up! He is Older, filthy rich, why wouldn't he retire? You dont think doctors aren't going to find another way to make the money? They aren't going to work with huge pay cut. It will be far more than 3%! Not all doctors make millions. My regular GI doctor doesn't make a bunch of money, He works in a Group. He also said he would think about finding new employment. You think people are going to want to go to school to be a doctor and make just as much as an auto mechanic? Not going to happen!

Wow, that's all you got? They couldn't have dropped me anyways, you don't think they would have if they could have??? My medical bills every year are way more than me and the wife could ever pay without insurance. My last stay in the hospital without insurance would have been $130k! I would be dropped as soon as they got the chance!

Yes they would drop me if I stopped paying and had a bad record, but so would my car insurance.

and do you not understand that people with that new insurance will be at the doctors constantly? or the older person that goes to the doctor because they have nothing better to do but have insurance? Do you not understand that doctors aren't going to work with the huge pay cuts? Why would they go to school and work so hard to not make a bunch of money? Most doctors deserve every penny they charge! Obama care isn't removing the middle man, don't know where you got that Idea?

without a federal provision giving all regulators the ability to deny excessive rate increases, some insurance companies can raise rates as much as they did before the law was enacted.
“This is business as usual,” Mr. Jones said. “It’s a huge loophole in the Affordable Care Act,” he said.
http://thinkprogress.org/health/2013/01/07/1404901/insurers-premium-rate-hike/?mobile=nc

“Health insurance companies across the country are seeking and winning double-digit increases in premiums for some customers, even though one of the biggest objectives of the Obama administration’s health care law was to stem the rapid rise in insurance costs for consumers.”
http://washingtonexaminer.com/higher-health-care-premiums-could-cause-obamacare-to-death-spiral/article/2517939#.UO2v5W9X2So

Sure you can get cheap basic coverage (pain meds and antibiotics) but if you need more than that you will pay! You get the insurance you pay for, just like car insurance. Full coverage or just liability...
Wow! There is all sorts of wrong with this post!

"and do you not understand that people with that new insurance will be at the doctors constantly?
"

Uhhhm yeah, that's kinda the idea. Universal health care gives incentive to people to get regular check-ups and catch/treat what would end up being costly illnesses and procedures early on.

"or the older person that goes to the doctor because they have nothing better to do but have insurance?"

Really? Do you honestly believe people will hang out at the doctors office out of boredom? lol

"Do you not understand that doctors aren't going to work with the huge pay cuts? Why would they go to school and work so hard to not make a bunch of money? Most doctors deserve every penny they charge!"

Doctors won't work with huge paycuts. As it stands right now, hospitals/doctors charge ridiculous rates because they have to eat the costs of treating people that don't have insurance, and ultimately jack the prices up for those of us that do to help offset the losses from people that don't/can't pay. Universal healthcare will negotiate lower rates, but the hospitals will be guaranteed payment for EVERY patient for EVERY procedure.

"Obama care isn't removing the middle man, don't know where you got that Idea?"

I never said Obamacare would remove the middle man. I said a single payer system like Canada has will remove the middle man. That's the problem with Obamacare. It's a shitty compromise that didn't take this far enough!

They don't pay for the big shit!
Health care in Canada is delivered through a publicly funded health care system, which is mostly free.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care_in_Canada

If it was all free why are the supplemental insurance companies in canada? (supplemental insurance such as Fair Pharmacare may have deductibles, depending on income)
Every province in Canada is a little different. This is not exclusively a federal program in Canada. My mother just had both knees replaced. No wait time to get in to have the procedure done, and it cost her ZERO out of pocket. My father has blood cancer. He goes in monthly for tests and treatment (when necessary) and it costs him zero. My sisters mother-in-law just had triple bi-pass surgery and spent several weeks in the hospital. Her cost ....... ZERO!

Yes, in Canada you buy supplemental insurance if you take prescriptions, but it is extremely cheap because the Canadian gov't has negotiated low prices for meds. A lot of Americans (on medicare) actually go up to Canada to fill their scripts because it is so much cheaper!

I know a doctor who moved to the Ukraine to practice medicine because of Obama care.

What a load of shit! Your doctor is a rich old fuck, and instead of helping people, he will take his toys and go home if his pay gets knocked down a bit. Must be nice seeing a doc that is in it just for the money.

Do you honestly believe that doctors will now make what mechanics make? They may take a cut, and instead of making $500k a year, they may now only make $400k. Poor bastards. That would suck only making $400k.

you are just as ignorant as chesus!

People will abuse the insurance, going to the doctors all the time when they don't need to. this will only drive costs up!

Yes I do believe older people go the the doctors out of boredom! Spend as much time at the doctors as I have, hear a lot of the conversations I heard. Doctors telling people they are just fine, nothing is wrong, they have done all the test! Heard a doctor that works in the same group as my gi tell a patient if they keep making appointments for nothing he will quit seeing them!

payment for every for every patient doesn't mean the doctor will make what they deserve and won't find a way to make their money still!

yes you did say it was removing the middle man!
removing the profit driven middle man (health insurance companies) will make healthcare cheaper?

Not all doctors make that much money! We have have more money, a nicer house and drive a nicer car than the doctor at the clinic here in town, cut his rates and he makes as much as an auto mechanic!

Sounds stupid to me. Live in a third world shit-hole and make a little more, or stay in your home town and make a little less.

That's his prerogative, though.

stupid, to think the doctor is staying in the shit hole part of town! Mexico is a 3rd world country, I live like a king on vacation down there never see the 3rd world side, i bet the doctor is the same way.

You're full of shit. The Canadian government "took over healthcare", and it costs less than half per capita in Canada when compared to America. You don't think removing the profit driven middle man (health insurance companies) will make healthcare cheaper? Not to mention the fact that people will now go to a doctor to get a checkup, thus catching what could be expensive illnesses earlier, rather than waiting until they are very sick and requiring expensive medical procedures that could have been prevented?
I apologize for nothing! You clearly said removing the middle man! Health insurance companies will still be able to raise rates, unchecked by the government!

You can clearly see that I'm talking about the CANADIAN health care system, and how they have removed the middle man (health insurance providers) from the equation.

If you fail to see that, then I'd say there's more wrong with you than just your belly.

No canada has not removed them! If you fail to see that, you are more ignorant than I originally thought!
http://insurance.canequity.com/supplemental-health-insurance/

Canada is in the midst of a medical access crisis. With over 815,000 people on a wait list for diagnosis and medical treatment, our health system has canadians without supplemental health insurance waiting up to a year to see a specialist, get an MRI or CT scan and to get surgery. Waiting for medical care is well known to cause stress, loss of income and physical deconditioning. However, for those who do get prompt medical attention (within 21 days), studies have shown that the recovery rate is up to 75% faster.

I am willing to go out on a limb here and say that although many of you will continue to complain about government in general and obama in particular, deep inside you will think that obama care wasn't such a bad idea at all, and many of you, if presented with a new "plan" to abolish it will look at what you now have and refuse to go along.

Well? want to answer truthfully now? or shall we wait?
Well so far every year since obama care has been passed my health insurance has gone up. It appears that its not working, and seems to not help people that are actually paying for their health care. Nonetheless time will tell if Pelosi's whore can pull it off into something that really helps to redyce health care costs for everybody.

You talk about people getting to the doctors to prevent stuff. Shit isn't getting prevented you cant get into the doctors! Why do you think they don't have enough doctors??? Because they don't pay them enough!
