"Why does anybody need an assault weapon"

geez, guess what? it's not actually my girlfriend either, just like that wasn't actually Buck's hunting rifle.

There are websites with 1000's of pink ARs for sale, how do you know he made THIS one? I suspect you are a wicken.

Maybe because I am a paying member of ar15.com and have been for years?

Hey Buck? why do you get to decide how that 22 year old 100 lb nurse can defend herself doing homehealth in Detroit? I bet an AR across the back is a better deterrent than a sign saying I don't carry drugs, leave me alone.
maybe if her fellow gun nuts hadn't left their assault rifles lying about and were responsible we wouldn't be having this discussion.

but the fact is that a lot of you gun *nuts are very irresponsible and let your "hunting weapons" (LOL!) fall into the wrong hands, so here we are.

blame yourselves!

Nancy Lanza is to blame for Sandy Hook. It's too bad she is dead. She should be in prison

There was for a couple of years. And their was only one hello kitty rifle. We got a barbi rifle now as well
I gotta admit that really is a cool story. Who would have thunk a hello kitty rifle would be such a collectors item. No telling what that one, unique gun is worth.

who's banning anything?

i just want you fear-addled morons to keep the fuckers locked up when you're not gently caressing them and dreaming of an armed insurrection.

Not a gun nut here, don't even have ammo in the house at present. I'm more of a freedom lover who thinks the constitution was an enlightened document.

What do you think is the intent of the 2nd and why wasn't it limited? What basic right does it protect? Shall not be infringed.. what does this mean to you? (I fully expect you to avoid these questions)

Seems to me you are the fear addled moron wanting to ban scary guns. I mean, just look how scary that AR15 is.

Like Cheezus said, Zombie Apocalypse.

irrelevant.

what does that mean to the SCOTUS? well, even the conservative justices say that means we can infringe it somewhat. we also abridge our freedom of speech even though it says not to, don't see anyone pissing in their cornflakes about being unable to yell "fire" in a crowded theater though.

i know why, too.

Yelling fire in a crowded theater causes potential harm to the people in the theatre. Legal gun owning citizens do not cause danger to other citizens.

I hope you dont confuse me with someone wanting to ban guns, I am farther right on gun control issues than Wayne Lapierre at the NRA

try telling that to the clackamas mall people that died when a legal firearm got into the wrong hands, or the two dozen murdered kindergarteners.

by the way, you tried to compare "potential harm" to "cause danger".

legal gun owning citizens certainly create "potential harm", we saw it in newtown.

you are actually equating inciting a riot to having a scary looking gun locked in a safe in my basement. Or laying around in my garage for that matter. You are a bit of a puss aren't ya.

ftr I'm a bit of a pacifist myself but if it comes down to defend or die, why do you get to decide how I defend myself? Especially in light of the fact that our constitution places no such restrictions.

SCOTUS also limited how much wheat you can grown on your own land based on the commerce clause. Sometimes they get it wrong too.

Buck put your front aside for a second and answer what you think it means . . . .. come on . . . its not a trap its not hard, what someone thinks and what they know are sometimes two different things . . ..

you know for a fact that if you owned a AR15 that you would be no threat, now that cannot be said for all owners of these types of guns . . but on that premise . .of what reason do they have that you should not own a weapon like that . . for whatever reason freedom is freedom .. .

NO ONE WOULD EVER TRY TO TAKE A GUN THAT'S LAYING AROUND AND MOW DOWN A CLASSROOM FULL OF KINDERGARTENERS!
