Now that I look I have 7 stretched tops, they will be a challenge to tie down at all with out snapping the stocks. Yeah nxt grow will be either LST, SOG or SCROG

Yeah if I could do a HPS in there I would no doubt. If I had my way I would have a 400w HPS cool hood vented into the attic but my wife will not let me cut a hole in the ceiling even though we own the house and it is something that I can easily fix. Wouldnt tieing them down at this point starve the bottom sides of the buds for light? If not I will try it. The only reason I have the lights up so high is because I have 3-4 tops that stretched a lot and grew over the canopy. Yeah I figured the lighting I have is pretty good for the limitations I have. I do not have a large room it is a closet grow. I am still trying to get the wife to let me do a HPS but then I have all these T5 lights that I spent dome $$ on and cant do much with. These T5 need to pay for themselves at least 2-3 times over before I could even think about buying new lighting.

I would leave out the bottom buds in your growing goal. Fluorescent light isnt strong enough to make them worth your while. However, tying down the top branches will allow you to lower the bulbs and thus giving the lower buds more light anyway. You dont have to go all the way and make a SCROG, just tie down the very tips of the tall branches in an arch like a rainbow.

Thanks for the tips. I think I am just going to let thing go the way they are and finish this grow out. If I can bend and tie some tops down I will but I tried last night and the stalks where wanting to bend which would not be good. I did manage to move the lights down a few inches but not a lot. Next grow for sure is going to be LST SOG style with a nice even canopy for maximum light coverage and only going to veg for about 3 weeks.

i think your gona be in trouble. those plants will stretch double ! looks like 2 foot or so ? i know when i put them into flower thell stretch to 5 feet average . might bea good idea find different place to put them , my opinion only might be wrong , going by experience,

SC em just pinch and a little bend the top colas,tht will allow the bottom of each fillin.
I do it about 8-10"down from the very top.Just be gentle should feel alittle pop or smush feeling,When you got it!Dont worry it want hurt it,I grab with thumb and index and sqeeze till i feel it.Try it on a small limb first and you can see what im talking about,if you dont know how to do already.

Ok I pinched and bent the tops and lowered the light some. Now the bent over tops are drooping way over from the weight of the buds, will they be ok? I dont want to loose my best tops colas.

Dropped the lights down a good 5 inches or so from where they were. I will be doing a SOG grow next time so I dont have this issue.

I love to the look that my T5 gives my grow space (6400k). It reminds of one of those tropical beaches and the super clear water. You have a 4'x8 bulb (400w ish?)
