Hi Everyone, Just taken delivery of my Aerogarden and 10 Lowryder 2 seeds. I'm new to this so have spent loads of time reading through all the top info on here. I think so far I have worked out only to plant 2 seeds at once, I need to purchase an airstone and some foxfarm nutrients. I'm in the UK and I can't find foxfarm over here so if anyone can recommend a substitute that would be cool. I'm going to get it all set up tomorrow so can post some updates and hopefully some pics too. If anyone has any extra advice, it would be much appreciated! Cheers

try canna nutes, there made by a dutch firm and on sale in the uk, im going to try the lowryder2/ak47 hybrid wheni get mine. keep us posted on ya progress

Well no I dont think you need to only plant two holes. Plant em all and by the time you get them to flower and know the sexes you throw away the boys and that give you a manageable number of plants to mess with. If you wind up with all girls give some to your pals. Or use that scrog grow and do em all. Never used the Fox Farms but the dope head down at the hydro place sold me some Pure Blend Pro Grow and Bloom (that is two different jugs at 20 bucks each.) Come to find out you can do the whole grow on the Bloom part..you dont need the grow. It superfolous so to speak. One word of caution..it appears to contain bat shit. I think that can cause hydrophobia in mammals. Now maybe Marlon Perkins is a liar..but I dont much think so.

Big Wheel

Right, so I'm just about to start planting. Going to plant all seven pods then get rid of the males, hopefully leaving me with a couple of strong girlies! I think I might try the first run using just the standard Aerogarden light and nutes, then upgrade the lighting system, air pump nutes etc. What are peoples views on this? A viable experiment or a complete waste of time?

I'm not sure how many weeks are left. I'm just gonna play it by ear and when it looks ready I'll cut. I imagine its gonna be another 4 weeks atleast.

I started out the same way with nothing but the AG. Struggled the first few weeks. The biggest problems are not knowing what your PPM and PH is and low wattage of lights. I don' think my plants would look the way they do if I didn't add the other stuff. But I guess anything is possible.

Thanks for the knowledge Unholy, I'm gonna roll with the standard system at first and see what happens. Guess I made need some additional investment if i'm gonna get a good looking crop like yours.

thanks Tek, i topped one of them and topped 2 side branches on the other one last night, once they heal im gunna start flowering :-D cant wait.
they are 2 weeks old today

This is a pretty badas thread. I agree the aerogarden is somewhat a beginners tool, but a tool none the less. I'm growing right now for somewhere around prob 5 or so weeks. I originally had 7 germinated seeds in the aerogarden. One of them died off before really going anywhere at all. So I had six plants growing. Within a week of flowering I had one male that I cut. And of my five left, all five are females. I was fucking blown away! I didnt even expect to get three females, let alone 5! I'm gonna be strapped for room. All foxfarm nut.'s. Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom. It's coming super good.

Okay, sorry to dump on anyone who might be reading. Thanks and any help appreciated.

Sweet. I hope you can manage that many girls in the AG. I've got 2 and the reservoir looks like a bowl of spaghetti.

I noticed from the photos some of you guys have posted that the seeds seem to be in the little herb seed containers that come with the AG. This may sound like a dumb dumb question (sheepish) but I assume you're removing the little basil/cilantro/etc. seeds and replacing them with the seeds for our favorite herb, right?
