Which northern lights are you talking about there was about 10 different ones. Number 5 and 9 are the ones you hear about the most but there are others, and I'm not familiar with one being the "original".

As has been discussed through out this thread, so much of "potency" comes down to preferance of effects.

5-6 years ago I got a few freebies from the tude of pe. Grew em out n got about 7-9 zips per plant...super stinky,frosted n huge bag appeal.

Moved it all to two guys n kept a half for me...week later I ask both if they looking n both say yeah, what else ya got? Neither wanted that pe ...n I smoked myhalfzip n agreed...unbelievable bag appeal n the smoke is just decent daytime smoke.

Honestly I'm not sure why I bothered to spend the time reading those and getting the links it is what it is. I just don't like conjecture and hearsay about things. I've had lots of guys tell me they didn't like white widow, or how it grew, my arguement is either you got a bad pheno or don't know how to grow. I've been running g13 labs white widow for 4 years, and it is as dank today as it was the first time I flowered it. I got one bean as a freebie and it must have been the right bean I guess.

I think he was mostly ranting, and hating on indicas. His argument is that MOST people don't like getting stoned, they like getting high, and indicas don't get you high basically. He seems to like a pure sativa high the most, and thinks if its got bag appeal its just indica crap(his feelings not mine). That is the jist of his first couple posts.

I think the jist of the other 7 pages has been people ragging on hazey and discussing the basic idea of "different strokes for different folks". I personally like a good hybrid, and appreciate a pure sativa, they just take forever to flower, and require more care to keep under control. I like the sativa high I get from my white widow during the day, and wish I had a really stony smoke for at night.

I personally like different highs for different times. Sometimes I enjoy being only head high, nothing heavy, sometime I prefer to be baked out of my gord. And yet other times I want to be total couch locked and numb to the world. It all depends on the mood and time.

I like a healthy blend, I have osteoarthritis, advanced degenerative disc disease, and I'm bi-polar so I try to get even hybrids as much as possible. I know some people have concerns with the psychoactive effects on people with bi-polar disorder, but in my case the racing thoughts are the issue that get me frustrated and to that "breaking point", so when I smoke a nice hybrid I feel well enough to do things, my brain's just a bit slower so I don't get all ahead of myself and frustrated all the time, so I never pop a gasket anymore, and I don't end up zoning on the couch.
