So... The cops burned the cabin....

The cabin owners still don't know they are on the hook for the cabin. I read a story about them, quoting that they didn't know how to file a fire claim with their insurance. They are in for a rude awakening, I'd bet they haven't looked at their policy's "fine print". Damage by police chasing a felon is not covered, by the insurance or the police dept!....They will have to sue Dorner's estate.
The fire was not an accident...

After listening to the tape - I am quite certain that the building was purposefully "oops . . didn't think THAT was going to happen", torched.

This is far from the first time anything like that has happened, wasn't there some cornering of the Weather underground or the Panthers or someone where flash bang grenades set a whole block on fire?

Do you you mean the entire city block that was torched by helicopter CS attack...Detroit? Pittsburgh?

That's right, even my wife who was in the home insurance industry, had to be reminded. It forms under acts of god, civil un-rest, martial law, right?

And no reward for those that reported the crimes against them. ...information leading to the arrest and capture....

No reward for those that reported crimes?......The guy that got car jacked and called the cops should get the million dollar reward and then should share it with the cabin owner, ..IMO

I haven't heard anything about the reward money yet...

I suppose, with that tape, they could attempt to sue the police - but then again - recall that San Bernadino is bankrupt. Well, values are depressed up there and the cabin didn't even have running water right? so how much are they out? - and.... at least they still have their chimney and that itty bitty basement.

SAY! betcha the provisions of the reward money state that Dorner had to be convicted in order for the reward to be issued. Maybe that's why they torched the building rather than apprehend the guy, no conviction, no reward - one million dollars saved - you didn't actually think that anyone would ever get that money did you?

SAY betcha they don't realize they are the owners the site of the future museum and Archive for Folk Hero Chris Dorner.

In fact a buy as a fire sale, playing up the ewwww, a dead guy, angle, right now, could be a very wise investment....

It will stand above Bonnie and Clyde who didn't spare civilians. This will be bigger even if the consent decree descends upon the LAPD once again. Almost assured I say. It's almost as big as Robin Hood, already.

Surely there is a ballad in the works. I have some lyrics already, anyone has a tune, send me the audio file. :)

Come on Buck, I've always been on your side but the cops did murder Dorner. They did set the cabin on fire as was recorded on multiple tapes and scanners.

Check the time stamp in this forum. As soon as they cut media coverage I knew they were going to kill him. Its in another thread here. The cops didnt want to keep getting picked off so they torched it.

he was in an armed shootout with the cops. torching the place, if that's what they purposely did, was a good move. he had legs, he could have escaped.

instead, he offed himself like a pussy. or like stormfront red's family.

He was acting like a dick for whatever reason...BUT are the cops not supposed to put people in front of a Judge to be judged? Or do the cops get Judge Dredd-like "judge, jury and execution" powers now?

Its not about the specific scenario, it's the police going WAY beyond the limit of their powers.

dorner was never going to go in front of a judge. all he had to do was come out with his hands up if he wanted his trial.

instead, he went out stormfront red style.
