Pregnancy and Pot

I keep mine and a bowl of dehydrated placenta on the night stand next to the bed, midnight snack anyone? lol.

I have a friend pregnant now and she wishes everyday she could smoke, but she doesn't. Better safe than sorry, but the only study I found showed as the child gets older they have a slighter harder time with executive functioning. But nothing drastically different from non smoking mothers.

Do what you think is best. If you think it wont hurt, go for it. I personally don't think it will hurt anything. Done in moderation anyway. Like I said My wife took one of two hits about every day. I don't think that's enough to make a difference. Getting completely blinded on the other hand cannot be good. My son turned out extremely intelligent, and very good at most things. Yeah, I know, every parent says that. lol He's 7 and can do 4 digit addition and subtraction with borrowing, in his head. Learned to ride a bike with no training wheels at 2 1/2 years old. The breast feeding thing is a different subject. I wouldn't be smoking a lot doing that either. I really don't know for sure, but logically, THC attaches to fat cells. Mothers milk is high in fat. Which probably come from the mother.

Just found out today my daughter is pregnant! Yay! i'm happy! but i would like some input from ya'll about smoking pot during pregnancy. I didn't with any of mine, but my sister did and there weren't any complications with her. my daughter doesn't smoke all the time, but her baby daddy does, which increases her exposure and temptations. i've never read anything solid about adverse affects or dangers to the baby from smoking but maybe i missed something? i have warned her against the class x prescriptions (xanax, zoloft, adderal, etc.) but would like to be able to give her (and baby daddy) advise regarding MJ. Help me out here RIU!
I just read this and didn't read any farther, You need to stay outta their buisness.
I'm a grand parent x 7 and learned to keep to my self after the first try, it's their kid their life, give em a chance to screwup their own kids.....

I tend to lean this way as well....To an extent anyway. If it were me (Which it is not). I probably wouldn't say a word. Except maybe if you know she's taking anxiety meds. Then I may say something about talking to her doctor. Because those are potentially very dangerous. If she needs those, I may suggest she does try taking a hit or two off the pipe instead. lol You have to choose words carefully though. So it doesn't sound like your trying to butt in and tell them what to do. I just say this because I know several parent/children/grandchildren relationships that had a lot of strain put on them because of similar situations. Sometimes young adults take things the wrong way. Even when you are truly just trying to help. Then sometimes they actually don't want your help. Even if they need it. In any case I wish y'all the best. A happy healthy baby is really all that matters. If all involved remember that, things will be great.

I've known friends who smoked and ate medibles throughout pregnancy, and one even had natural childbirth while only eating medibles. Her child is bigger, and appears more developed than other babies the same age. Just because there are few studies does not mean that it is bad or dangerous. It's certainly better than ingesting any chemical.
