Hey I just harvested 11.2 ounces from 4 of my plants.
I grew hydroponicly, in 2 home-made bubbleponics system.
I didn't expect to get 11.2 ounces so I need to put some in the freezer and save for future use.

Now I don't know anything about freezing weed for future so thats why I am here! n i hope u guys can help me out:blsmoke:

Please let me know the things I need to know to do this.
Without getting freezer burn n all that bad shit that can happen.

I have some questions.

What is the longest period of time I can store my weed in the freezer?

How do I dry the weed again?(I'm guessing the weed won't be dry after being in the freezer for over a month)

Can I store in jars or should i just store in bags.

Thankyou very much.

And if you have any other information I am glad to take it allllll in

Thanks ALOT!!

BTW. I grew purple kush, n I'm gettin higher than a maw fucka'

you don't need to keep it in the freezer. Get a vacuum sealer and put the weed in mailing tubes cut to size inside a vac bag to keep the vacuum from crushing your pretty weed. Just keep it in a dark, cool place and it will last upwards of year and be completely fresh when you open it. Make sure it is all dry and cured properly before sealing.

i just saw at the supermarket that glad-lock makes a new vaccum seal bag. its around $15 and comes with a battery operated vac thingy and you have to use the special bags. it looked interesting.....

... hahaha

why don't you just do the smart easy thing and just dry them completely (so no moisture left... ) and store them in air tight jars... simple as that...

no checking on or anything... same prep time it'd take to properly freeze them too...

plus why take up all that space in your freezer? its much better suited for food!!!

a couple of shoeboxes in the closet might be all the storage space you need...

Yup I bought one of these, pretty good price for what it is, but it also will crush your weed a little bit, so if you have fluffy nugs, and want them to stay this way its not the way to do it, because it will compress the hell outta them.

next time get a mailing tube and put the weed in there and that in the bag and vac away. It will not be able to crush them this way. ;)

just throw your buds, away, once you pull them out of the freezer cus they will be shit. Mason jars are the only way to go, in a dark place. If your buds start to get to dry, you can always rehydrate them this way, by using a damp paper towel, stuck in the top of the cap, for a few hours. The freezer idea will just ruin your weed. Maby no completely, but it definitely wont be the same. Just keep an eye on the buds. Weekly

I'm a mason jar person. Maybe you should try your freezer method on a bud or two so you'll understand why it's not a very good idea. If nothing else, freezing will make your weed TOO dry. Even the fridge will. Dry til' the stems "snap" instead of bending, then jar em' (dark glass, if at all possible) keep in a cool, dark place and burp occasionally. If the jarred weed over-dries, a fresh leaf will rehydrate slightly. Be aware of mold, which you will smell immediately.
