Yea I Thought About That But Then I Got To Go Buy Three Speakers Opposed To One Big Dresser Which Will Run Me Like 25-50 Bucks At A Good Will And The Speakers Will Cost Alot Unless I Just Got Some Fucked Up Ones Laying On The Curb In My Neighborhood But That Could Take Who Knows How Long So I Think I'll Stick With The Dresser But Thanks For The Thought Stoner Kiddie

you might want to try a mini-fridge, you could go to a junkyard and pick up an old one, strip out the compressor and all that crap and you have a light sealed box! It would be a bit more work though, cutting through the metal might be a pain in the ass and require real tools but you may not even need to. If you want to spend the money, and I mean REAL FUCKING MONEY, home-grown hydroponics has good units that are mini-friges but for $1150 it's out of most grower's reach. Still, I wish I had tried to convert a mini-fridge before investing in my setup, may be a good option.

Personally I don't think your friend should grow in his parent's house. They are allowing him to live there due to their graciousness. Your friend would be breaching his parent's trust if he did so and he would probably hurt their feelings. Besides it would be very hard for you to hide a growing plant in your friends house anyway.
Okay, enough with the lecture, here are some ideas friend.
Have you considered guerilla growing? I am sure there are places that no one visits where you live. You could plant in those locations. It is out of the house and the parents would not accidentely find it if they were cleaning his room.
What about at someone else's house? As long as the inhabitants of the said dwelling are cool with it I think he could grow there. Also he could probably grow more plants too. Think about it.
If you are really set on doing it in his home have you considered the care of the plant also? You need to water it, fertilize it, etc. You would be hard pressed to explain to the parents why the power bill went up and the house stinks.
Otherwise don't do it. Grow somewhere else.

you probably couldnt get 2 ozs in that small of a set up guerilla growing season is near and that could be pounds if done well

Not to sound like an ass, but billybob pretty much explained what guerilla growing is in the quotation below..
I myself do not have a EXACT definition but pretty much common sense..
Find a nice piece of land where somebody doesn't mow, where farmers dont run heavy machinery through and most important where you never see people walking through like a small open spot in a forested area just good enough to allow your plant to recieve the right amount of light from the sun, make sure no trees are hovering your babies... Pretty much it, after that you definately want to keep an eye on it for bugs or deer and there are techniques to possibly prevent some of this.. I understand where your coming from though.. I prefer indoor myself and this is my first time WITH parents who dont approve.
Whats my stradegy? Keep the room picked up so they dont have a reason to search through your shit, whats there to find in a clean picked up room? I WAS using a very nicely disguised sterilite tub with 2 computer fans wired in on each side, which I had to cut a hole for and your light setup.. I use clamps to hold them where I need them for now.. I dont use this anymore tho, for one.. I was using shit dirt, 2 I was using aluminum foil and 3 the fan system needed dramatic improvement.
What you COULD do is.. in my case, if you know anybody who has handy craftsman skills. Build a complete custom box setup (with light height in mind) figure out how tall and how wide you want to go, how everything will be fixed once built so you dont fuck up.. 2 good quality sheets of wood at menards' is like 12-18$ which is more than enough to build you what you want.
If you really wana just make shit easy on yourselves, buy those fuckin closet cabinet things.. Its like 6-7" tall maybe 48-60 wide and it has one main shelf at the top, below that a bar for hanging clothes and everything below that is empty space. Customize one of those badboys how you want and your good to go.

Jesus, how do you fit 3 plants in a dresser, I am doing my first grow right now and the thought of puting them 2 in a dresser, at 2 months, is crazy. I am thinkin you are gonna need a big dresser, It would be tough to use an hps in it though without really good ventilation near the light. Post some pics once you got it made I would like to see.

...heres a better way.. u and ur friend go looking around and find a nice hidden field with trees and bushes..then u can have as many plants as u want..and it will be alot funner for u two...u know sneeking around and keeping it hidden...it will be ur guys lil corp..its a blast trust me.
