anyone growing in one gallon hempys want to report what type of yield you guys been getting? Im trying to see if I should switch from 3 gal to 1 gal if 1.5 oz-2 oz is possible.

These are the 2 from my last grow 1.25g hempy scrogs under 250w HPS

The top one weighed dry at 72g and the bottom about 61g

Unbelievable! I love your bonsai technique. Do you have any guides on how you trained those lovely gals? +rep on those fast colas!

Training plants can be done many ways, I train mine under a screen with a grid of 2-3 in squares. You could do something similar to mine with some string and duct tape. Just tie the apex tip down even with the rest of the plant and duct tape the string to the bucket. Just use your eye and position the branches out and away from the main stalk, the idea is to get the arms horizontal and cause those little growth tips on the branches to shoot up. I still like the screens and I still do tie branches down till they get into the position I want. There are a bunch of good plant training threads here which is where I found many of my ideas.

Tsboss if you are using larger than 250w HPS you should be able to achieve similar results I would think. Training will definitely increase yield but the drawback is extended veg time.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Plant training can increase yield in any grow but especially in a small scale micro grow like mine. It's all about getting even light coverage over the entire canopy. With an even canopy I keep my light 4-8 inches from the tops which really helps to maximize the 250's output. I just started my new grow Monday and my clones are a bit smaller than I usually start with. I am going to try and document my training more in my grow journal in the next couple weeks, just waiting for the girls to drop some more roots before I start the bondage.

Stoneslacker, documenting the bondage would be really useful here at WOH. I've personally beeing looking into the main-lining concept, but that only works well with strains that exhibit the single cola dominance trait. If you end up with a strain that loves bushing itself out, LST is the key and you've nailed that on the head! While SOG has certainly helped my yield, it's destroying my back and making it hard to water 30 2Liters in my tent. Running a nice 4 strain grow LST/Main-lined would suit me best for upping yield and automating my watering :)

I'm really interested in seeing how long you veg, since that will most likely be my stumble block from a timing perspective. Love the defoliating you've done too to open up the canopy to light. Just beautiful!

While I do say that training does add slightly more veg time, it's pretty much a negligible difference between vegging a plant to 12-24" before flowering and vegging the same plant to fill a screen. The grow those pics are from started with clones about 10" tall and I topped them to about 6" and vegged for about 17 days until my screens were about 60-75% full. The flower stretch will fill the rest in nicely. The clones I grabbed this round were just putting roots out of the rockwool cube when I transplanted them so I am going to have increased veg time this round. I would say by my estimation that when the apex tip hits the top of the screen my training will take around 14-21 days before I flip. I will post some updates here but I will go more in depth with the training in my GJ listed in my signature link.

I'm getting ready to crash course this hempy thing... first grow ever

Quick question.. anybody use the KISS method for nutes? Ive got some young ones and I'm wondering how soon most people are nuting their hempys. Any KiSS schedules for coco hemp would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all
