Real life Rocketman, with a rocket arsenal to boot? Seems legit, let's start development of that - not sarcasm, am serious. We're almost there, but just wait until we have weaponized remote controllable androids, being controlled by adults who grew up playing games like Counter Strike and Halo.
Should be interesting.
And you could not even show the godamm human curtesy to give your buddy a reach around. (from Full Metal Jacket)Before the opposed thumb, there was only mental masturbation.
Yeah. That's a funny and quite a believable story. Dumb Trojans. After a bit more thought, the single greatest military weapon ever used.. in terms of being completely revolutionary vs other things of its time.. was the trojan horse.
Lulzf-22 isn't so great in close combat with other highly maneuverable jets. The Brits already figured out how to defeat the raptor with Typhoons.
Very valid points but @ Custer's last stand, it has been forensically proven that the Indians had more modern firearms than Custer and his troops. Custer's men were using single shot breech loaders while the Indians were using repeating rifles."Greatest" seems hard to peg down. There are many different levels on which a weapon can excel. A mortar crew can't take out a jet, but it can deny that jet an ability to refuel by cratering the landing strip. An M1 Abrams can obliterate many other armored vehicles before the enemy has a clue where they are. One shot from a well placed sniper can throw an entire country into turmoil, entirely ruining their military effectiveness. The weapon is not nearly as important as who is using it and how it is used. The Afghanis made the Russians' lives hell with rifles they made over campfires out of cookpots; the Americans fucked the dominant naval and ground forces of their era up with a bunch of poorly trained volunteers during our revolution; Israel has managed to hold their own while outnumbered and outgunned in the past as well; then there's the battle of Thermopylae; Custers last stand too, that was bows and spears vs. cartridge rifles that could drop Buffalo. History has shown us that it's not so much the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. No matter how big your gun is, sheer determination will always win; short of something on the magnitude of nuclear war.
And when all that is done we can still bash each otherAgreed, this discussion is rock-paper-scissors with every weapon that could possibly exist.. not any 1 true winner as everything has a weakness. (At this point) Including the B-2 & F-117A, which glow on radar if they fly over normal cellular towers. (Or did, pre-rebuild)
I forgot about that, I always think about the stories of the rout, where it was mostly lances and coup sticks; but that was after the shooting was mostly done.Very valid points but @ Custer's last stand, it has been forensically proven that the Indians had more modern firearms than Custer and his troops. dont forget the tomahawks and scalping knives...I forgot about that, I always think about the stories of the rout, where it was mostly lances and coup sticks; but that was after the shooting was mostly done.
Classic ....divide the forces, fire and maneuver. Thoughtlessly and easily executed, since the victory was handed to the Firsters on a silver plater of Sharps and Henries.I forgot about that, I always think about the stories of the rout, where it was mostly lances and coup sticks; but that was after the shooting was mostly done.
