you know what make that better, being a good cook. almost every spice has zero calories. Adding the right combination to a bland healthy meal makes you look forward to your next snack. If you want to loose weight.....a good place to start is to plan a diet.....eat every 2-3 hours and only eat enough, never eat until you are full....big no no.A lot of smaller meals through out the day increases metabolism which in turn = more energy.
Eating is more important than a work out because the food you eat fuels you for your work out.
My daily intake is carefully monitored and planned before hand.If I am going to have a busy day I make all my meals the night before. The reason most of us eat junk food is because it is fast and convenient when we are on the move.
My daily food intake looks like this:
1 hour after I wake up 2 eggs, 2 egg whites, 2 pieces of 12 grain bread ,16 oz. water or 8 oz. of milk
2 hours later 1 can tuna (plain) on 2 pieces of 12 grain bread, 16 oz water
2hours later 1 piece fruit 1 turkey sandwich plain, 16 oz. water
2 hours later protein shake 16 oz water
2 hours later 1 piece chicken breast (not fried) cauliflower and broccoli 16 oz water
2 hours later 1 turkey sandwich 16 oz water.
Stop food intake 2 hours before sleep.Keep in mind I am on a high protein diet and I eat a lot of carbs because I work out 3 days on 1 day off.I have lean muscle,14 inch biceps,15 inch calfs,20 inch quads, 38 inch chest,30 inch waist and weight 149 lbs. and I am a mere 5'6.I don't eat refined sugars,no fried foods.I only drink water and milk, occasionally I will drink o.j.
Hope this helps some one.......remember most of it is psychological once you get over that hurdle it is easy sailing.Best wishes everybody.Stay fit and healthy : )
salt has salt in it lol... everything else is just leafs, berries, roots, or seeds. It's not always about calories, spices have a lot of sodium (which leads to high blood pressure, heart disease),herbs on the other hand are healthy.
Everything I eat I like.I know many are not used to eating plain but after a while your body gets used to it.My motto is I eat to live not live to eat : )
.........i could never eat that much holy.
lol you know how i eat barely..........
you eat like a bird. I'd faint halfway thru the day if I ate like you. you're fueled by beer lollol you know how i eat barely.
Any feelings on a juice fast? I was thinking of embarking on one but idk if i can give up steak....
I'm with you on that one!
Every time I eat something I'm already pretty sure what it will do to my body. I think the hard part is knowing the amount. One candy bar probably won't do shit to an already healthy person, but add in a hundred candy bars over the course of a year and those calories add up! Especially if you're not working out, and consequently, if you're eating candy bars on a regular basis, you're likely not getting much exercise. It's a snowball effect.
I've always lead an "unhealthy" lifestyle. I've smoked since I was 7, I eat fried food all the time (I'm Southern, after all), I think my only "healthy" choice is really that I drink lots of water, but it's just one of those things...I'm always thirsty, and drinking water just makes more sense than constantly buying other crap. I've got a 16.9 fl. oz. water bottle, and I put down at least 8 of those a day, which comes out to...where's my calculator? I'm horrid at math in my head...135.2 fl. oz. of water a day, at least. So a little more than a gallon. That's awesome, man! The main idea is just being comfortable with yourself in your own skin.
I'm leading a very unhealthy lifestyle right now compared to myself a year or two ago, so I'd like to get back to that, maybe even a little better
How do you gage the healthiness of your lifestyle?I've always lead an "unhealthy" lifestyle. Padawan...I am not your father. I'm 33. Honestly me being alive at all I take as a hellacious amount of luck. My mom's dead, my brother's dead, my sister's close to death, my dad's close to death. My brother was the healthiest of us all, and he dropped from a brain aneurysm at 36.How do you gage the healthiness of your lifestyle?
You say you've always lead a relatively unhealthy lifestyle but remain relatively healthy, which seems to be somewhat contradictory. Do you mind if I ask in which decade do you reside, 30's, 40's, 50's? Do you believe it simply hasn't caught up with you yet?
My dad is 56, he'll be 57 this Dec., he's been smoking 1-2 packs of cigarettes a day since he was 15, do the math and that's a little over 16,000 packs if you round up.. He would tell me he's "relatively healthy"... are you my dad?
Being happy is what matters to me, if you're happy I'm happy.A lot of people would be surprised how much weight they would lose if they just drank water most of the time. It's okay to indulge occasionally but in moderation. On another note I consider myself somewhat of a health nut but I enjoy it,and that's what matters,I have goals of how I want to look and how it makes me feel so that is why I do it,it makes me happy.
