They used 15 dump truck loads of high quality potting soil in 6' trenches. Bottomless 300gl pots sitting over the trenches.
They hire armed security company to guard during flowering & harvest

I don't know what they paid for the dirt. 300k was for the entire grow op. I think they budgeted $50k-$60k for trimming alone!

Butte upgraded since then, bought more dirt and dumped the smart pots. here's his most recent thread from 2011 https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=213827

a custom blend from the earthworm soil factory in chico is about $200 per yard. check his thread for specifics on the dry amendments. he isnt around anymore though.

these people know their shit or castings (they dont work with manures) http://www.earthwormsoilfactory.com/ call them they will talk soil all day. very knowledgeable family owned

that big pile in the factory is 165 yards
