2nd LED Party Cup Competition Official Update Thread

Just wondering if we should report to Puff on who we think is 1st, 2nd & 3rd..
I will take in consideration the dry weight, overall plant health, and a few other things that I think that is important..
I will post my results, for all to see..

Who are we waiting for to finish their cup??

Oh ya, we are waiting on the Purple Dawg to post his dry weight..
And Alex also for the dry weight of the buds on a stick..

Scoring will be based on the following criteria:

health of plants
Weight
Bud beauty
smoke report

All on a 10 pt scale, 10 being A+ status. I'll ask everyone to post summaries including veg to harvest pics and a smoke report. Participants will pm me their top 3 votes and I'll post the results for everyone to see.

Smoke report mangs.

I've just partaken in some mostly cured bud from my second bag seed.

Bagseed #2

Dense and springy buds, colourful with a few thick pistils still remaining on the tips.

Tangy and tastes a bit like bark, kind of a thin smoke though. Very cerebral in that my thoughts are going a mile a minute. With a minute body buzz that seems to be creeping into the tips of my fingers as I type.

soft smell, not a stinker but still a noticeable scent.


Aaaand the Buddha's Sister.

Very airy buds but holy shit does this smell. Every time I burp it it feels like getting punched in the face by sour cherries.

Moderate high, my eyes feel like raisins and huge munchies but not very long lived. Maybe 35 minutes of the eye feeling and then nothing.


Smoke report. Ba bam.

What was your dry weight on this #2??

The dry weight from my second bagseed was 11.4 grams.

From the Buddha's sister it was 17.5 g's

The first as 10.4 for a total of 38.4g

My lights are 28 watts total.

My Gram per watt is 1.4.


I gave my brother the Buddha as a birthday present and he has been enjoying it since, and don't have a photo of the dry weight.

well im super fucking pissed off right now. took the plants out for a pic and started noticing bananas all over the pure afghan which were full of pollen when i plucked them off. god knows if that piece of shit plant fucked over my whole breeding project, now i feel like trashing everything. i thought regular strains dont herm? who knew the pure landrace strain would also smell like complete shit the whole grow too. and fuck the cyber crystal too, that thing also smells like rotten ass. ill get a full report on the special kush which didnt try to fuck me over or grow to be dog shit.

Alex I know exactly where you're coming from. The last 5 plants I've pulled from my tent had seeds and of the three I removed today 2 were loaded. I know I picked a nanner off one of my Black Widows and since then it's been getting worse and worse, to the point where I'm thinking one of my dickhead neighbors is screwing up a grow and venting it outside and I'm getting pollen from them. A few things make me think this, like this is the first time I've been running my grow room with a window open in the room and almost all these seeds are tiger striped and neither Black Widow/Critical Mass and SLH are striped seeds from what I've seen. I mean I just handled 18 CM seeds and none of them are striped. I also do have some suspects, like a too sativa heavy BW that I let run too long and was the first plant I took out that had some seeds and that other CM plant from the competition which I revegged and tried to flower but it never really got going and once I saw some seeds I trashed it. Maybe I just missed the nanners on those. Had to trash a a SLH today which kills me. I've got two more plants that are about halfway through now and if I see any seeds I probably gotta trash my flowering room to stop the cycle. Hopefully it didn't touch your seed program.

Well it looks like it's gonna be a Iso 4/20 round here. Life and lemons and all that shit .

This ones not over yet, still have a chance for 2nd place or 3rd.
Big Dowg Purple has pretty much landed 1st place, but 2nd and 3rd still up for anyone..

Im ready for the next cup competition, already thinking about what I might do different, and everything else..
I've really learned a lot from everyone on this sight, and still learning.
These cup comps are are great way for me to learn a few things and meet some new people..

Final entry update!

My smoke report consisted of this

i will settle for a final entry weight of 5 grams without the stems but im sure its probably a bit more, obviously not a huge yield but the quality is very satisfying. it has a really nice soft kinda of fresh linen scent that is very pleasant. smelled like some bubba kush i had before so im assuming thats a kush smell. the high is very mellow at first but before you know it your mind is in a full rush of activity locked into focus with whatever you were doing.

one thing i really liked about this plant was how dense it was, super bad ass freebie!. it was definitely fun to be apart of this, this is really only my first couple of grows and i am still learning a lot. seeing and trying different methods is the best part of learning how to grow. see you all next time around
