His wife, with a mortgage, and other bills, (and, a little fdd if I recall, but I have that excuse for not remembering...) It's not just his life Scooby's workin' to salvage, it's his family. The feds take your shit when you get busted. He's sitting in prison, and she's at home, with all of their money seized, and him not being allowed, by court order, to blow any marijuana or drug related glass from his arrest until he went to prison. He also wasn't allowed to sell previously made glass.

Just coz I dunno his life story, doesn't mean it is because of common sense, :-(



Either way, yeah all that can add up if he was so used to the lifestyle and then all gone the next day, sounds tramatic actually.

I've been through it. Once all by myself, had to gladiator to survive. Not what I'd wish on anyone.

Second time, my arrest, and the US Marshal's involvement kinda' ruined the boss lady's life. And she didn't have a clue about me. She stood by me, answered the phone, wrote when she could, and sent money when she could. We had our struggles, by she stood by me. Having even one person out there is a world of difference. It would have been great, if we woulda' had a benefactor, our lives would have come together faster, but, it worked out. FDD is in a hell of a spot, and so's his family. It's nice to see a person stand by their principle, and help out others, just because they can.

I'm not saying anyone is "wrong" for sending him money or supporting him. And I wasn't being facetious when I said what you wrote was inspiring. I meant that. I've read some of the stuff about FDD, mostly what was thrown around in random threads not even related to him. From what one person to the next said, I never knew what to believe. But your post was the first one that *actually* made me think about it from a different perspective. On another note: No, I have never been to prison, and I can't say I understand what it's like. I DO, however, support people I don't know who have been arrested for weed "crimes" by writing them on a consistent basis, and I don't know them beforehand. My most recent "adoptee" is in Danville Correctional Facility in Illinois. I don't "wish" these things on anyone.
