Sonny Bono died on the ski slopes, not in a plane. Both he and his much younger (and gorgeous) wife were regular customers of mine in Northern Virginia, up to the time of his death.
Being an advanced skier myself, I know it is quite easy to Murder a Jr. Congress guy, if it is known that he likes take the last run down after the lift closes. Not many people left, getting darker.

Two big guys could wait and swoop down on him from behind. They could grab him by both arms and ski him into a tree at 40 mph.

Not saying it did happen, just it is an easy way to accident someone to death. And the facts don't really add up. It is very dangerous to be a public figure. Or John Lennon, even. It is very risky business to be public, much less be a politician who has to piss off many people to gain a majority. With Risk comes Reward.

Well, I was just wondering if Al Qaeda was maybe hiding on board that Cessna... Being the resident "Politics" air force forum expert, I thought you would know better than anyone... Damn you Al Qaeda!!!!!!

Don't you mean al CIAda?

Do you remeber the Prime Minister of New Zealand? Her government had arrested 2 MOSSAD agents on trial for trying to obtain fake passports... Well, her plane door fell off in flight! All this can be verified with a little research but most here are too lazy to do that - must be the ganja :)
Ever read the book "Confessions of an economic hitman?"

On May 24, 1981, a plane carrying the President, Minister of Defense, assistants and their spouses crashed into the Huairapungo Mountain. Jaime Roldos Aguilera.

Never thought that much about his death but after a little looking, turns out you may very well be right.

Paul Wellstone, a senator from Minnesota, voted against the war in Iraq. He was the only senator who was up for reelection who voted against it. Later that year, 11 days before the election, Paul Wellstone was killed in a plane crash.

Just prior to Sonny hitting the tree there was a demo who was killed/died.... My girlfriend at the time said Sonny was the republican response (balancing the party scales)
