Would i get caught with electric London [UK]

Would i get caught if i set up a 2400w flowering room and a 600w veg room in quite a small flat? mostly a question on electric suspicion leading me to get caught. i have smell sight and every other aspect covered

other comments would be helpful also:eyesmoke:

As long as you pay your bills, it should be ok and the electr. company won't give a shit. But 3000w is really pushing the no-stress boundaries. Most of the time growers get caught because of telling people. The next reason is smell. Bigger grows can get discovered with a helicopter (flir). You're fine, I guess.

Ok thanks :) and the only people i tell is the RIU community on a VPN and the smell is covered with carbon filter and 2 stoners each side of my house :L

your not the only one in the uk with a big grow op on the go, if your that paranoid about it why dont you have a 1200 flower room and a 400 veg room

not enough for the risk as in im not getting enough out of it for the chance of getting caught, i want to stay just pretty much under the line, i pay my bills the day they come allways

theres people in the uk that run more than 3000w and get away with it everyday cant make it any more simpler if you pay your bills and dont tell anyone then theres nothing to worry about

Hi mate I'm in UK and starting my own grow in my flat, I advise you to go with Npower Economy 7 tariff as there night rates are dirt cheap and will save you a lot on electricity

I would think it would depend on how much your local power company "cooperates" with the police. Stealing power is a sure way to get busted.

or go with a tariff which is pre set for the whole year. that way regardless of what amount you use you still pay the same bill each month. EDF is who im with in uk an rather than guessing my bill amount i pay 60 per moth for both gas an eletric so im pretty content.

I run a 600w HID flower room and a 125/250w CFL veg room. I hate to tempt fate so will word this carefully - I am still growing! ;-)

I tend to get a little paranoid from time to time with that level of usage - although it would appear to be just paranoia. I think any more than that - certainly the level you're talking about - would make me very paranoid. If you think you can handle the pressure then go for it - but I think that is the key issue. You will probably be ok, and not get flagged up - but you're pushing the limits of reasonable use.
