Yes, I do want to clone. I'm going to build a cab for vegging/flowering purposes, too much light leakage in the closet. Plan to get my PC case up and running just for rooting the clones since they don't need much light and heat should be easily controllable that way. I'm in the process of figuring all this stuff out, so give me some time and my plan will be revealed.

I am wanting to run 3 plants, next run. Probably stick with just 2 different strains though.

But, yea, definitely read through that thread. I finally finished every page, and I'm amazed by the bullshit I fell for regarding bloom foods. That turned out to be my major problem.

Not much new, still packing on the weight and a few hairs starting to turn on the Skunk. Going out tomorrow to look for jobs (that's right, I need two), gonna grab some bone meal while I'm out, feed them both a dose to hopefully stall the yellowing, was informed it'll take about a week to start actually making an effect. Hopefully this will at least slow the yellowing if not bring it to a halt. That'll end the feeding for this grow, should be enough in the soil by then to make it through the last few weeks.

Looking like the Skunk is going to beat the EJ to the finish, as expected. Not expecting much weight for obvious reasons, a quarter ounce a piece is a reasonable estimation at this point, sad but true. And we're, what, somewhere around 28-30 days in, I really don't keep track. Will be taking pictures tomorrow night.

Going to find something to use for a cab while I'm out as well tomorrow. If not, I'll find some cheap materials to build one out of. Decided not to go with the 150 hps, instead I'll stick with CFLs for now. My 600 is a dimmable version down to 336 watts, if I'm remembering correctly. If I can find a way to vent that heat in a stealthy manner I'll use it. Any ideas on that will be helpful.

Well, scratch that. My mind is still actively considering the 150 hps. Was thinking if I do invest in it, I'll be able to use it to veg when I get my 600 up and running when I get into a place of my own.

well I am really happy getting 150W hps, but bare in mind, if you're planning to grow 3 plants, 150W wont be enough. I manage to fit both plants under 150W hps plus 2x25W cfl. Also you want hps which color is 2200K? for veg state? hmm, did not finish UB thread, maybe light colors are also hype? By saying 600 ur talking about your dimmable cfl? There is also 250W hps I believe, I think you would be able to run 3 short plants with that. Whatever you will chose man, our next grow will be thrilling

Well, the 150 watt hps will be supplemented with some 35-40 watt CFLs as well. Probably do one or two depending on heat issues, per plant. But, with the cab in my room and not the closet, and either the inline or a duct booster fan, should be just fine.

Na, the 600 watt I was referring to is HPS/MH, I invested in one a few years back, my current living situation doesn't allow me to use it though. Used it once on some bag seed and all I got were males, so that was a waste.

I've thought about the 250 watt HID as well. I'm kind of just looking around looking at heat issues, seeing if I can control it with what money I can throw into it. I'll be back to work soon, hopefully, got a few new places opening up where I'm at so, just keeping my fingers crossed.

There are some differences in opinion when it comes to light spectrum, use your best judgement, experiment. I prefer a mix but always tend to let red outweigh the blue by far.

Just FYI, the 600 without being cooled, WILL bring your temps to 100+, without question.

And there they are, in all their yellow glory. I went ahead and gave them both some blood meal, went half a tbsp on the Skunk, and a little less than that for the EJ. I took it really easy on the water because the pots still probably could have gone another day before a watering was needed.

Hoping this will help give her a push for the last weeks. If not, it is what it is.

Been a week since I last posted? Time flies. They're still alive, actually smell is becoming more noticeable, buds still growing, so...not too bad considering the mistakes. Hoping the Skunk will finish in 2 weeks and the EJ hopefully only a week or two behind that. Haven't started checking trichs yet or anything, probably only 30-40% hairs have changed on the skunk and the EJ has shown most of the color change (hairs) in the cola.

Will get some pictures up here tomorrow night.

Will be working on a cab next week, going out tomorrow on a thrift store hunt for something a little better than what I have to use. I bought some fixture/reflectors for my CFLs found them for half price. Max watt for the fixture is 300 watts and the reflectors are 10" if I'm remembering right. Usually around 15 bucks for them, I got em for 8 bucks a pop (got 3). Next buy if I can't find something better for the cab, is definitely a fan speed controller and I need some new ducting as well.

I still haven't decided what I want to do about introducing an HID into this small setup but, I still have weeks to decide. Couldn't find any mylar blankets around in-store, guess I'll have to get those online.

And we're in May, already. This year seems to be flying by. Anyways, sorry I haven't posted pics yet, will be up tonight. The EJ really moved as far as hairs changing, pretty quick. Still hoping for the skunk to finish up in about 12 days, that'll give me a week to dry it before my bday. If not, hopefully I'll be able to at least pick a few buds that are done. I looked at several buds on both plants, as of last night there is VERY FEW amber trichs, some cloudy, and some still clear on the skunk. The EJ is clear and cloudy. The changes in hair color on the EJ blew by the Skunk though.

Finally got another 10 dollar timer, so no more having to manually turn on and off the lights. Which is good because I have been hired and plan to start there either the end of this week or next week some time.

The cab is being put together in my free time, I'm going to be ordering a 150 watt HPS in another week or two. Putting my focus towards find something small to veg in so I can get a few weeks head start. Other than that, just waiting for these to finish up.

I'll be going through what seeds I have left and I'll come back and post here, can't decide on what to grow, though the Ganesh Spirit is going to be one of them. Shooting for 3 plants this time since I'll be using around 6 CFLs (2 per plant, for bottoms) and the 150 for flowering. And using a mixed spectrum (mostly blue) of CFLs for veg. Lumen output should be around 28,000. Might put in a small order for seeds, I know herbies had some Female Lemon Kush seeds, 4 pack for like 12 bucks, so may consider that. But..yea, I'll be back in awhile.

First of all, Gratz on your job position! Man what kind of magnifying glass are you using? cause mine x45 zoom does not get me close enough to the resin so I could tell whether it's clear or cloudy.. Maybe I am looking in a wrong place?

Using a pocket scope think it's 60x-100x. Got it for about 10-15 dollars, can't remember exactly. It's worth it though. Bought at radioshack but I'm sure you could find one online.

Hell yea, I'm ready to get it going, perpetual if I can make that happen. Trying to cut costs where I can so I can hopefully get a better camera. But, I will grab some pictures of the ladies before I go to bed. Really hoping one of them will finish by the 12th, though I'm thinking they'll need an extra week. Time will tell.

Pictures don't show it very well but the hairs on both plants have changed roughly 30-40%. The EJ has darker hairs while the Skunk has shown change but the color is much lighter.

44-45 days into flowering.

I'm looking at those pics and it looks like your plants are less than one foot tall, is it true or my mind playing tricks on me? Also did you prunned lower foliage and side branches? cause it looks like you have few colas per plant with no side branches, or your camera does not take side branches in the pics cause they are too small lol?

The EJ is definitely under a foot, was a runt but remained healthier than the skunk (leaf wise). But, the Skunk might be about a foot, maybe a little taller, if I were to release the tie on the main cola. I did some LST to move the main cola over to allow light to penetrate better, did that for both.

The EJ would have probably formed in to a giant bud, but mistakes were made in the fertilizer department so this grow won't yield much.

I'm predicting only a half ounce from the two together. Probably won't achieve that though, probably closer to 10-12 grams. We'll see, still got at least a week left on these. Checked around the buds again last night, seeing some cloudy and some amber. Still a little too much clear for me, I'm aiming for mostly cloudy.

About 90-95% of the hairs have turned color and starting to recede. With that, the trichs are roughly 30-35% clear, 60% cloudy, and 5-10% amber, that's my estimation (hopefully you get the clear/amber part). Might be harvesting the Skunk sooner than expected, the EJ's cola might be harvested first along with another bud, maybe two.

I have checked all over the plants, the middle of the EJ can probably use more time than the cola and 2 other buds further down. The Skunk is pretty much my estimation across the board. I imagine at least the Skunk coming down by the end of the new week, at the most (could be wrong). That'll put her right around the breeders estimated flowering time. But, either way, I'm letting her tell me when she's ready.

Nope, not yet. Soon, though. Trying to get em to bulk up as much as possible, still a higher percentage of clear trichs than amber. Going for as much cloudy as possible but, if there's more clear than amber, I'm gonna keep em rolling.

hmm well from what i read, pistils has to be brown, not trichs, also that potency highest with clear trichs, and some cloudy, but in amber trichs thc is alr degrading... ill see if i can find that thread where KH said that, also he posted a photo of article of trichs thc research..
