cable is not the issue. even if you would run all lamps on one cord it would be enough, at least you have very thin cable.. but from the picture I see that the cable is pretty decent and should be capable of supporting 1000W and more. The issue might be either in splitters or in your not very stable looking setup, if e.g. one of the planks would fall or somth. or if you put 2 splitters into one splitter and through one socket connect like 4 lamps. You should read about the splitters you have. How many watts are they capable to support.
It's more stable than it appears. But, the splitters are rated for no more than 500-600 watts..something right around there.

so you have your answer :) you're not exceeding the limit. how are the leaves btw? are they still changing color?

No change in any other leaves...yet. But, the ones that have started to yellow, have done so completely. Someone suggested "blacking out" the containers I have them in, and I did just that a few days ago. The poly I tried to use on them wouldn't hold, so what I did was cut a black grocery bag to size and used a few pieces of scotch clear tape to hold. Covers the root zone pretty well.

Other than that, I'm going out to find a pH drop test kit tonight or tomorrow. Got to know my pH if I still want to use my tap water.

just make sure pH scale range is 4-10. cause at some aquarium shops it is 0-7 and thats bad :)

man, roots cannot be exposed to light, my bucket was transparent so i ducktaped some non transparent plastic over the pot. it definetely could have been a leaf yellowing problem

Yea, I don't know how I missed remembering to black out the containers, probably because I'm so used to using regular pots but yea...lesson learned. Someone also mentioned that the yellowing could be from the leaf touching the wet soil, which is bad but, I don't think that's the problem anymore. Noticing some more "light" green areas on the plant. Nitrogen should be plentiful but Magnesium, not so sure.

This is my first time using the happy frog, so I'm not sure as to how much Magnesium is actually in it. I can't water for another day or two but my steps will be...flush with correct pH(water only)...dry out some/most of the way....add half of a tbsp. of bulb food to the soil...then add 1 tsp of epsom salt to a gallon of water, split between the plants.

The EJ has shown a few pistils...and I think it's 12 days flowering. Give or take a day. The skunk looks like it has hermied but will give a few more days or so before I'm willing to bet money on it. Hopefully not though. Going to go wash my hands and take a closer look.

**Closer look has me leaning more towards the skunk being just fine. Will give a few more days though. She is showing pistils.

CRAP! Timer crapped out on me, lights stayed on longer than it should. So, to try and help it a bit, I'll be shutting the lights on later for the extra time she spent in the light this morning. That way she'll still get her solid 12 hours of darkness, at least.

Talk about a hermie, I might just get it.........pffffft.

lol few days ago i also bought new timer, cause old just started working 24/0.. patience and optimism man, no hermies unless u'll see ballsacks instead of pistils

Yea, I gotta get a new one as well, until I can..I'll be doing it manually. I pulled a few leaves that were yellowing...I'll post pics in a minute just to give a better perspective on what is going on, the different colors, and how the yellowing is progressing through the leaf.

hm, well after switching to flower I removed like 10-14 bottom leaves already and tonight or tomorrow gonna post on my journal how at the bottom is easy to see through :) A leaf in a photo is 3bladed, I assume it was on the 2nd node from bottom, dude, thats looks absolutely normal.. any other leaves are yellowing above 4th node from bottom?

The skunk will be ready for a watering tonight, going out today for something to test the pH. I believe at this point it is a pH imbalance causing my nitrogen to be locked out and/or other nutes. As mentioned before, I'll start with a solid flush with pH'ed water, then allow to dry out decently, then scratch in a full dose of bulb food (gonna go heavy and give 2 tbsp). NPK ratio of the bulb food (btw) is 3-8-8.

I'll also be trying a way to check the pH of the soil that I found over on one of Jack Harer's journal posts. States, "To determine the pH of your soil, You must take a sample from as close to the root zone as possible, by gently digging down along one side and obtaining 2 or 3 tablespoons of soil. Then, put the sample into a container large enough to insert your pH meter. Add enough DISTILLED water to make a loose mud or a slurry, mix it up well, and then let it set for a half hour or so. Then test the mix with your meter. This is the pH of the soil." Hopefully this tip will help me rid of this problem.

I have 6 16 oz bottles of water all pH'ed at 6.8 ready to flush the Skunk. But, before I do that I mentioned I wanted to try that soil pH test method, so in about 30 minutes we'll be ready to start all of this.

EDIT: just went back and read over this and noticed I didn't mention I ran 6 more 16.9 oz bottles through it as well.

After the soil test, the pH checked out at around neutral (7.0). Water going in was spring water set to 6.8. Now, I guess it's just sit back and hope for the best. Since I did decide to flush, should I give her another dose of all-purpose along with the heavy dose of bulb food, or no? Anyone?

A little bit of improvement to the lights will be done tonight. I was able to get 4 more Y-splitters, which will allow me to get some lights closer and make an addition of the last two bulbs(26 watts) that I have left (may get one or two more). I'll be able to get there and check on them soon.

Now up to 9 bulbs total for a total of about 300 watts. Definitely need to work on a new, more stable fixture. I'll probably work on that starting tomorrow. Will be watching temps since adding the bulbs even though I think they should remain stable as long as the door is cracked about 6 inches. I also have one 4" fan in the closet in front of the cracked door facing the plants as well as another 4" fan directly in front of the door bringing cool air in. The oscillating fan has been turned up a notch as well. Window opened about 8" in my room too.

Something about the plants seems different to me, in a good way. Pics to come tomorrow night.

Hehe can't wait to see the pics :) but please man, save our eyes :))) try to get as stable and detail pics as possible :D About the cracked door, BRO, seriously?!? You have roommates you're hiding plants from, odor, cracked doors with fans and light somehow does not bring any suspicion to them? :))
Pistils? Since we started at pretty much the same time flowering them, really? Only now? I am not the expert on this, maybe it has to do something with your early switching to flower. Cause my plants are all covered in pistils already :)
Keep it going :) let us know about how plant reacted to flushing.
waiting for pics :)
BTW, whats the avg temp and humidity at ur place?
