Keep in mind, most people clone plants that they find the best traits in. IE healtiest looking ones. I don't see a problem with cloning clones, maybe in a few thousand years it'll get messed up, but not today.
You know FDD I always conplain about how people preach about something, when in fact they have only read about it. Which I am guilty of. Cloning a sheep, and cloning a plant seem to be two different things. Cloneing a plant is almost not really a true cloning proccess. If you were to clone a sheep in the same way, you would cut one of it legs off and walla another sheep, but this is not how it is done with animals. Even though the journals I read also talked about plants, after thinking about it more. When you cut the plant and make a CLONE, in fact you have the same exact plant, just continueing to grow the clipping again.i can type it right here, then you read it. doesn't make it true.
i can only go by what i know. i know of local strains that have been clone only for years. i buy clones then clone them then take clones back to the club i got them at. those get taken and cloned then the clones are brought back. it's still the same bud after all these years. i know this first hand. this is not something i've read. i have worked with clones cloned from cloned clones and NEVER had issues. now i can read something that tells me that's not true but i really don't need to at this point.
i will continue to clone clones.

After thinking about this and researching it more I have to tend to believe what you are saying is correct FDD. I think all of these scientist are clumping cloning into one big ball, when in fact there is animal cloneing, then there is plant cloning. Two different subjects I would think now.
But now after muchy more reading, I feel that taking a cutting and making it root is in fact not truely CLONING. I know a guy who can take a hole punch of a leaf from a plant, put it in the jellitone solution and it will desolve, about a month later a little root system will start to apear, after another month you will see what appears to be a little plant. This is what I now think to be true cloning of a plant.
But Hell I do not know, I am to knew to cloning to have a good understanding.
FDD, have you read anything written by Genetic Engineers on Cloneing? Even the scientist who know about cloning say there is a small amount of errors when making a clone, and that if you clone a clone multiple times these errors get worse. No one said they Mutated. Those are two different subjects.
As for the "Clone only strains" like Train Wreck used to be. They keep a mother growing that provides stable clones. This is not saying you shouldn't do it. But if you clone a clone over and over and over after a while you will see imperfections showing up. I do not know this first hand, I just know it from what I have read.
Now if it was just my opinion, and I had never read any of these scientific journals, I also would believe that they would be EXACT replica's each and everytime.
how do people make clone only plants not clone only like trainwreck?
how do people make clone only plants not clone only like trainwreck?
oh ok then y dont they have seeds for all clone only strains?
ya but if u can make it not clone only y dont they?
You should have stuck with the post before this one. What the hell are you trying to say? I think you grow Mushrooms, and I need you to teach me how.it just happens, you grow out a seed from some bud or seed pack , and it so awesome and unique, you name it, you are not the breeder , but the person who discovered it, and you don't know how to breed to stabilize this beauty in seed form ,that you found so you don't , but you take clones and share it and every one loves it, no one may be sure what the cross is but it's here and it rocks, and everyone shares there clones with every one else, and you have created a clone only stain, there are other ways to tell the story but you get the idea.............
Here is what they did with train wreck.how do people make clone only plants not clone only like trainwreck?
