I am wiccan and smoking during a ritual, spell, or even just to meditate helps ground me and get me more into the mindset and comfort of what I'm doing. I love getting all zen like that. Anyone else here do that? (And people against wicca/paganism, PLEASE do some serious research before being an ignorant ass. It makes you look stupid.) Believe what you want and don't bother me, and I will do the same. Peace and love is my vibe. :peace:

(And people against wicca/paganism, esp Christians, PLEASE don't comment saying things like wicca/paganism is evil and stuff, it's not necessary, we hear it ALL the time from you people and you really should do some serious research before saying things like that.
...so 'you' 'types' are against people having opinions? I thought that was esp Christian :)

...really, I'm just messing around. But, why do you assume that "Christians" do not take part in ritual? There are these monstrous archaic buildings across the world dedicated to just such a thing. Seen 'em?

So do you guys worship rocks and stuff.

Cause thats like cool. Rocks are fucking cool.

Seriously though. All drug consumption should require a bit of ritual. The absolute however doesn't give a shit about that.

gotta love the wiccans, pagans and shamanists of the world. all far more "real" than the vast majority of christians ive known. having attended "church" for many years (something ive repented from) i can definitely say i prefer the company of people who feel free to be who they are instead of having to fake a persona when they feel it necessary.

Never said people couldn't have their own opinion, in fact I encourage it.
BUT having an opinion and just plain being ignorant are 2 different things. ESP if you're being ignorant AND an asshole.(not saying you are just that people can be) I had Christianity forced down my throat for years when I was younger, even had to go to a strict Lutheran school/church and listen to the bible EVERY DAY. So Yes, I have "seen 'em". Theres some good things about Christianity too, I just personally saw some flaws with my own belief system. I was just mentioning that out of all other religions Christianity seems to give pagans the most crap, just from my own personal experiences and that of my wiccan/pagan friends. I've experienced it first hand. And I never said Christians didn't partake in any kind of ritual. I just personally feel pagan/wiccan ritual in my opinion, to me, is more my thing. I feel more connected with it than I ever did when I was Christian. I just didn't see a wiccan/pagan branch of this whole stoner spirituality thread so I added one. Why does everyone gotta hate? I personally love my religion and think it's beautiful, and am generally open minded to others as long as they are open minded to me/my beliefs.

Why not do some research instead of making mockery of something you know nothing about. =]

I'll be fine. I've dealt with internet troll assholes before, so I can handle myself at least when it comes to that. Thank you for the warning though. I'll keep that in mind. People can say what they want I'm still going to think and believe what I want reguardless of some smart ass immature remark some troll makes. =]

When I smoke sometimes I feel at one with my viking ancestors. We know vikings and a few other groups were dumped together and lumped pagan by christians way back when.

I don't follow religion tho I think they are all shit. Just ways to keep people under control.

Some of. I have one of his books on demonology, but that's more of a research thing than belief. And I've read a little more from different things of his online.

Yea, I'm also just into just absorbing as much of the "occult" --mostly research as well. I don't take anything literally, tho I played around with some of Solomon's invocations. Just killing time, learning, being a cosmic sponge~

I used to be a wizard and practice casting spells invoking spirits etc. until i read in the bible that practicing sorcery will condemn oneself to hell:

Revelation 21:8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

I grew up Catholic, well sort of... went to church every now and then, was told to be quiet and pray. Had friends that were often scared of going to hell etc. Great Grandmother casting spells, I mean "prayers"... Gave that up real fast, to restrictive. At about 14 I started to explore Wicca with Bucklands complete book of Witchcraft, also called the traveling blue book, was never able to keep a copy for very long. At the age of 16 I left home to live on the Boulder mall (Colorado) and continued my studies and managed to survive doing Tarot readings for several years. Truly experiencing the idea that happiness does not come from possessions, but from the lack thereof. Later in life I explored Native healing on the reservation - still do this. All along the way I explored Zen Buddhism, which is more of who I am now than anything else. All while trying to figure out what I now know as Clairaudience, which really was a tough path.

I learned early on that there are many paths and one center.
