Just want to take this chance to thank tc for putting together a well edited and informative vid, and thanks to frenchy for enlightening those of us just getting into the hash world (really is an entirely seperate culture from growing). Cant wait to see the drying and curing vids, should be a gamechanger!

First thanks to TC for an incredible job.
You have now the collecting part of the process which as you can see is quite simple.
Any question, any time

just watched the video... is very helpful thank you TC for shooting and thank you Frenchy for sharing your process. some things I would like to mention: The drain hose on your machine is smooth so no trichome get caught. I don't know if you changed it or it came that way, mine has ridges, I guess that's how you would say. I think that's one change I will make to my machine. Thank you for showing your machine spinning with lid open to see ice/water amount. not too much ice just enough to keep cold, was one of the problems, I used to much ice and smash and grind my trim giving a lot of green... thank you both you have improved my Hash collection methods. waiting to see the pressing and heat treatment now. One question for Frenchy about heat, I have a piece I have been pressing and I put it through a heating process and it is now stickier if you try to squeeze it now it is soft and gets sticky very quickly if you play with it. Is that how it should b after heating process? Is your cannoli soft when complete?

No I do not use the 25 bag, ripe trichomes size being between 70 and 120 microns, I am not sure what you are collecting in the 25, but it is not quality

Sharing and learning is what life is all about, so you are welcome my friend. Yes I did indeed change my drain hose, the ridge of the original one collected bunch of trichomes and greens which you do not want, easier to keep clean as well. You really need to avoid any grinding and smashing of the trims by the ice so the amount of water used is very important and you will always know when you did not have enough because your end product will be green.
The sticky constituency is what you are looking for, remember we are talking resin. I personally often go for a "waxy" texture by leaving a little humidity in my pressed Hashish. Curing in that case will change the "structure" of the resin from sticky to waxy. If done well you can go back from waxy to sticky by pressing again with heat.

Very good information thank you again. I seem to be liking the softer hash that I have made. It taste better than anything I have made previously and is easier to deal with than the hard blocks of hash I used to make. I can just pinch a piece off the stuff I used to press needed too be heated with a flame to soften it enough to pinch a piece off. Good day to you Frenchy

Hashish pressed well is something else. Do not forget to cure, just keep your Hashish in a glass container and crack it open time to time like you do your flowers.

I used a 25 bag this last run and what came out of it looked good and tasted good at first too but when inhaled it was like tiny daggers inside your lungs peckering about. I released it into the wild(sprinkled it on the ground).

Frenchy & TC - Thank you for the excellent video and being so generous with you time and knowledge. Looking forward to part 2.

After you use the hose to gather the trichromes in the 70u bag, do you pour the collected water thru the 45u or is that a waste of time?

I do pour the collected water through my 45, just to make sure that I got all my trichomes
