I've never had a credit card. The only money I have ever borrowed was for college. I have zero outstanding debt

The system you support exploits the people who work hard. I experience it on a daily basis working in steel fabrication. I show up and put out better numbers than most of the welders who have been there 10+ years and make far more money than I. Everyday they waste countless hours standing around talking.

I am not rewarded for working harder or producing more. (it shows on log books) They are rewarded for showing up everyday whether they work or not. Sounds the same as communism to me. It has been basically the same every where I work.

The system doesn't reward the people who work hard anymore.

If you know how to get a better outcome, go do it. You'll be handsomely rewarded, if you can actually do better.

I am beginning to think that in some cases being more productive can be a negative in the work place. It seems like the only time the management really gives a fuck about something is if something goes wrong otherwise they are too busy just trying to cover their own asses

The worst part. We collectively asked for a twenty percent raise last year and after negotiating we got it.

We are not a union. But then the owner without any hint later the same year refused bonuses and now annual reviews no longer include raises.

I'm about the bounce out of there soon. I would be pissed if I worked there for 10+ years and they did that. Some of the guys missed out on 8g bonuses.

I worked for a place for 3 years. They had it down pat. Everyone worthwhile got a raise during their first review. Then regardless of how long or hard they worked. They would never ever see a raise again. And everyone coincidentally got written up for something 2 weeks before their annual review or their reviews never happened. This place had abour 40% illegals working there. When we tried to get the Union in. The boss told the illegals they would all be deported. All the Union organizers got laid off.

Places like this are why Unions are necessary. People always say you can just go work someplace else without thinking about how much you have to personally invest in a company as an employee.
Think about it. Where you work and how long you have worked there affects many facets of your life
-where you live
-credit score
-stability
-seniority

An employer knows this and the shitty ones will grind you down knowing it is hard for you to leave. And you wont really find out about it until a couple of years have passed.

I worked for another company. After a year you get a weeks vacation. Well I had my year in and I went in for my vacation only to be told that your year has to be in by january first of the year. Since they had hired me january 23rd the previous year I wasn't elgible for that weeks vacation they promised me.

I was just dumb founded that the owner didn't make any concessions about the bonuses or raises until after the fact. We did have a walk out when the word came down of no bonuses, but that is where it ended. 85 percent of the workers left.

My advise for you unless you want to stay is

Dont fuckign tell no one your plans. Employers want 2 weeks notice before you quit. But they wont tell you 2 weeks ahead of time you are getting laid off or fired. My last job I got laid off with 5 minutes notice. One of my bosses kids didnt want to work 2nd shift so they gave him my job instead. That worked out very well for me. I was unemployed for 2 days before landing this job

The fucked part about this system, is only one thing. It is perfect, except for this. No one tells us how fucked up it is! We get taken advantage of. Church, Community, School, the opposite sex, Politics.....Thought mongered and fear controlled, taught to trust everyone, respect the bosses. HA. The Casino USA and the big scam.

When I began telling my basses to fuck off and they are not going to derail my responsibilities....

1) I realized I had responsibilities to the Company bottom line, that my bosses can only make harder ,if I let them.
2) The bosses realized I was taking it seriously and they should stand back or I'll crowd them back.

In fact, after 30 years, most of the sweet spot of job, is crowding back these VPs that want to rule my life and make my team miserable. They also know I can take, said team, to RedHat any day, and be welcomed like a Hero.

But, it was many years of slinging shit to learn how to lean back. You don't like the shit they pull at work, show up with a Lawyer. I've done that. "About those stock options....." Yeah, now we talk. :)

Take advantage of yourself. The Lords of Ganga knows everyone else is attempting to.
