*if you don't think the landlord works in property tax to the price of rent, you are imagining a model that's set to fail in no time at all.Really you rent and pay property tax? Also, when you pay property tax they don't ask you what you make but you are taxed on the value of the property.
property taxes went up about $300 a year here (for a smaller property like mine) over the last couple years. seeing as how my landlord has about 300 of these types of properties, i don't think he wants to foot the $90,000 extra every year. something tells me that is the reason why my rent went up $50 a month on my last renewal (but thankfully not on this latest renewal).
so yeah. renters do pay the property tax.
