Your little nursery looks pretty good Soup. I need to knock something similar up for my babies. As for your question with humidity, I had never gone in at night to even check what it gets up to in till to other night when I went into do a bit of picking. And yes it was quite high, reading 77%. I will look at controlling it a bit this run, have looked it how yet!! It has cooled right down over now, we have just had a first real winter front come through:) I love growing any smokable or edible plants, i just pulled of my first 2 mangos and even have 6 pineapples growing. I grow as much veggie as i can, just because shop veggies are expensive and poor quality! Also being a stay at dad i get bored of cleaning the house so spent a fair bit of time outside in the garden with the kids, better for them as well;)
We will see how the veggie attempt turns out... No land here in a LA so you gotta get creative (Sees future of topsy turvies hanging all over the outside of apartment):) Actually I had a weird dream that I hung them in my tent around my light for some side canopy!.... Possibilities! Get those tikes gardening early and they will thank you for it in the end! Better than 90% of the crap I did when I was growing up,and look it always comes full circle! I had a feeling your RH would be high with temps like that during the day! Thank god your not growing in soil eh! :)

Wicked little nursery you got there Soup, those babies look like they're loving it :D
Thanks easty! I already have a casualty with one of the clones though... Not environment fault though mine. I tried to rebury the proor liitle guy due to a botch job the first time around with the lava rock and ended up separating him COMPLETELY from his root system. No worries though I cut a little up the stem, added some aging olivias and re staked him in some soil (Hopefully he will be rooting again in no tome) The 5 in the mini DWC seem to like it enough and Im hoping for some substantial root sytems before building the e+f tables....time will tell. As long as your patient these garden things seem to work out.

So WEEK 3 of FLower!!! Long way to go yet, I know I need to de foilage these bushes but may just let em grow jungle style thist time around. I have ALOT of penetration with the 1k and am seeing some okay. albeit premature production. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks for stoppin in! -S0uP

Wish I had your green thumb soup +rep
Not to worry Brotha stick around this thread for awhile and listen to the guys who REALLY know their shit ie. Pig,Easty, Flowa, Stone, KC and so many others ( I feel like Im up at the podium and bound to forget a few names, I apoligize ahead of time) and you will be teaching in NO time. I do appreciate the kind words and I do anything but follow the norm so its nice to hear. I mix media, grow styles to fit my needs, ALWAYS mix nute lines and just try to go with the flow. Now a days I care less about yield and MORE bout quality and new ideas. I just try to figure out what works for ME since at this point aint no changin whats in the S0uP ya know? Please feel free to ask ANY questions as Im sure any of the followers would be happy to answer (Often times more thoroughly than I) We are fortunate to have some real Horticulturists in and out of here, and hell were all old and bored anyways so have at it!-S0uP

Lookin fantastic SOuP. Looks like you have some thinning to do though man, she is thick and bushy as all. Your tattoo area resembles your grow man, clean and organized. Glad to see that, people who ink should always take cleanliness seriously. Peace

Couldnt agree more, I use an autoclave which no one seems to do anymore. and am In the middle of building a completely tiled in floor and wall for my area to keep 100% Sterilization a must, even gonna plumb in a service sink on that side of the house so no cross contamination (too many more days off and it will be done before the grow is!) If there is any thing I can say about the thinning its HELP! I am used to growing trees where I just pick off the fans that I dont like but this is a legitimate issue here! Even if you could point me in the direction of a real informative thread or give me some detailed pointers I would be in your debt brother! Thanks for stoppin bye!

Edit: On a side note how bitchin is my wife for lettin me grow and tattoo in the house! Life is good!:)

I always try to tuck a fan leaf if possible. If not and the leaf is blocking a node it has to go. It looks like you should have a good idea where everything is going to end up sitting in your screen, so try to reposition stubborn branches with string and thin out no more than a 25% section at a time and let them rest a few days then go at it again.

You've got really good penetration with the 1000w so you won't have to go hog wild but you could probably thin out 40% of your canopy and it wouldn't hurt your girls. I wouldn't recommend that much thinning though. Just cut those obnoxious fan leaves that you cant seem to get out of the way. Also get a good idea of where you think the bottom of your canopy level will be and cut everything out from there down. This includes all leaves and small nodes that will do nothing but leech from the tops. Don't be afraid to cut those small nodes out that look like they won't reach optimal canopy height or are too congested with better tops in the same area. If you have any specific questions I'll try to answer if I can. If not I'm sure easty and chipper have some good thoughts on this.

Alot people preach to not cut during flower, but I cut leaves away all the way through to harvest if I need to

SHAVE AND A HAIR CUT

Well Stone, I went FULL bore. I cut away prolly 100+ fan leaves sems like I have a lot more bud sites than I originally thought! I dont know if you can see in the pictures so I took a few I just hope I didnt go over bored. Originally I tried to tuck some fans out of the way but these ladies are sooo hearty they werent cooperating, so they got the snip! I hope your around to give some feed back (Or anyone with experience for that matter!) On a side not the bud sites are really crankin out the sticky shit already and my hands smelled absolutely wonderful for an hour so that making me smile!

Wow is all I can say.
Howdy bro! Im gonna take that as a compliment I guess and say thank you very much! Stick around, I sure hope there are better things to come!

So I snapped quite a few pics of the canopy after the thinning for perspective.

Also got a few in the nursery, the damaged clone is bouncing back already, new growth is coming in lush and green and I cant wait to see what she looks like in a week or 2 :)

Took some pics of the root growth in the mini DWC I built (These are the most impressive but all are not far behind), Im no expert but it seems pretty good for 1-2 days (too bad bout the casualty but all is well that ends well and it gives me an opportunity for some new experiment!)
Also 5 out of 6 Zucchini seeds have broken soil and are looking great (Now I just have to figure out what to do with them)

Well that bout sums up the weekend for me guys! I would like to hear your thought if you feel inclined, if not thanks for stoppin in!-S0uP

That looks alot better soup. She is gonna love all that opening up. With that 1000w things are gonna get fat in there so make sure you keep that fan cranking away on them. Keep an eye on some of the little tops that are close to and under a more prominent top. If they don't look like they will reach an optimal height and will just choke space, cut them out. With your light penetration you will have some fat buds laying on top of each other so make sure you move them around a bit each day to prevent mold or rot.

The girls sure did branch great and you have a nice number of tops. And to think we were a little bit worried about that canopy! Filled in right nice.

Thanks bud, Ive got a virtual tornado in there to maintain temps with the 1k so Ill keep a close eye but hopefully I will be in the clear. I think she branched pretty well also and have hopes of a more productive harvest than originally after seeing it close up! I appreciate your wisdom when it comes to the Scrog bro and can only hope to repay it in someway! Thanks for stoppin in!

and how much of that was free?
Im gonna answer the question I THINK your asking, if not let me know. I havent paid for Nutrients in quite a long time... I get samples when I ask for free, and I have a SHITLOAD laying around from past grows. Eventually after this grow Im going to have to "settle" on a solid base. The competition will be between Jacks professional/Cal nit combo and the Dyna gro line (If not just the foliage pro the whole way through) Another one in the running will be the technaflora Bloom from seed to flower (Ive heard good things about using this and nothing but this) Either way you can see that there are some common traits between the contestants. 1 Cheap 2.Easy to use 3. Good solid consistent quality. Stay tuned for the race, I will say I am leaning the Dyna gro line (which is the most expensive of the three and the most complicated), even that at 160$ a year is a fuckin steal compared to other lines, and I will be going through quite a bit of it. If thats not your question let me know but total spent on nutrients this grow 0$ and by managing my appliances in the apartment its cost me an extra 14$ over what I would usually spend on DWP.r

I just helped to convince you to do what you knew had to be done. Get you from the x-mas tree state of mind to the rolling fields of green state of mind. :bigjoint: You're doing awesome man. Wish I would have had such a good start on my first couple scrogs! Can't wait to see the swell. Peace

Still look lovely SouP. She well love that pruning you gave here, heaps more light penetration and more air flow between those gorgeous buds!!! Your doing well if it's your first scrog, i must of missed reading the that bit:?:

A plumber could get a job over here pretty easily. I don't know what it takes to get a visa though, a whole lot a trouble probably!!!

I know brotha congrats on crossing the finish line! I think you will be happy with your efforts. On a side note I checked out Peak seeds as well as Sannies and have some real hopefuls in the mix. I am leaning toward the Extrema strain and also the herijuana IBL for my better half (Her favorite) More to come on that note :)

Well either way I appreciate the push I am currently on day around 24 and the swell should be coming soon I hope! I apprecciate the kind words! I know your getting close over there to the cull and cant wait to see the end result. I tried to get a side photo so you can see how many shoots I hope put on some serious weight. I also added a fan from below the canopy to help prevent mold! We will see! Thanks for checkin in, your camping trips are making me jelous, wish I had the time with work. I used to live up in Mammoth Mountain CA and love hiking the woods to fish...stay out for weeks at a time along the upper Kern....those were the days let me tell you!:)

From what I understand its something like 3k for a temp and its hard to get a job as an american:( maybe a couple years down the line Ill just do it and you , I , Easty and Flowa can share a couple bowls and some of your homemade beers!) ....Sounds like a lot of fun to me!

Alright so RES change and flush;

2 Tbls FF CHa CHing
45 ml of Dyna gro Bloom
25 ml Proteckt
50 ml Rock nutrients Resignator (which is supposed to be great)
50 ml each of AN Conni A+B
10 ml of Floralicious

Came out to a perfect 1200ppm and 6.0 ph no ADJUSTING (Which I love)

And some Pics You guys HAVE to check out the growth on the zucchini in 3 the 3 days from seed....INCREDIBLE

Oh, And Im having a bit of trouble with the Little DWC I built,Plants look good, but Im getting some brown growth on the roots due to the constant 74* degree res. I added a touch of bleach but it loks like some tea is in my future. I have some plant success ORCA on the way as an innoculant but we will take it as it goes. No worries. Thanks for stoppin bye. Comments appreciated!-S0uP

That's what I love right there! When you see that tightness of flowers, you know she's destined for fatness.
I certainly HOPE so since ther are like 40 of em in there! For me (I always want a big yield) but Im more excited about that frosting Im starting to see! With the PK in the cha ching and the resignator Im hoping for some real nice weeks ahead! Thanks for stoppin in stone all the best to you and your garden.

My apologies, Im so used the overwhelming amount of males on this site I just assumed... only too glad to have some female influence in this here thread! Do you have a journal going for your first Scrog? I would be happy to lend what limited knowledge I have and Im sure some of the more seasoned Scrog pros would be only too happy to help out as well if you have a link! Thanks for stoppin bye! the next few weeks promise to be exciting! (I hope) -S0uP
