Damn bro they are bushy as hell hey! Getting some big fat leaves on them too :D
I KNOW dude these girls are BUSHY, Im sorta used to growing tree looking plants...so Ive found my self walking into the tent with snips in hand (ready to do some thinning I swear:)) and I go in look around, realize I have no idea where to start and turn around just laughing at myself. This has happened more than once! ;) I SWEAR at the end of week 2 after the boost Im gonna get in there and really trim up the underside to add circulation they will just have to suffer till then...no real danger of mold at this point so I think they can wait! I just need to keep tucking away! Thanks for stopping bye easty! -S0uP

Coming along well mate, nice work SouP;)
Thanks Chipper! should see what I can begin to expect in a few weeks!, buy if you rub a stem or two together you get a stcky feeling between your fingers that smells like fresh Happiness if you could buy it bye the pound! I am getting some hopes for the turn out...Still too early to say of course...-S0uP

Hey all, not much to report here just taking care of the slight Cal/Mag issue I was noticing earlier last week... also I did some defoliation both at the canopy to allow potential bud sites to receive more light , and under the screen to allow more air circulation. Although I do see a little stretch with this strain so far it has been VERY minimal. Im really wishing I would have ran more of these, BUT live and learn;) Heres some pics...

Looks like they are branching really nice, just not alot of stretch to this strain by the looks of it. Your still early into flower and the second week usually brings alot of stretch for me.

Thanks stone, its good to hear encouraging words from a seasoned scrogger. This is the first time Im trying to fit some plants into a real tight space like this (Usually spoiled with more room than I know what to do with) so its definitely a learning run. Next time I think Ill just keep them running under the screen instead of weaving them in and out, I cant tell you how many potential bud sites Ive snapped off. The stretch really depends on the strain in my experience. Ive had some plants, NL crosses in particular that just explode on the flip and didnt stop stretching till week 4 or 5. Ive also had some OG crosses that while supposed to be lanky, stretched maybe 6" or so and just stopped in their tracks week 2. We will see...but it doesnt look like Im in danger of running out of space so that is reassuring I guess...Thanks for stoppin in, your grow is looking great by the way!

Looking real good Soup :D

Agree with Stoneslacker, the second week is where i saw a HEAP of stretch with mine ;)
I know meh! You even had some colas get away from you in there!:) They certainly put on some weight though recently, shit the tallest ones look like baseball bats! The newest pics you posted are great! I certainly hope they get a little more stretch cause right now Im thinking Ill be lucky to push 150g even with the 1K:( Oh well no real expectations, this isnt a strain that I would normally pick its just what was immediately available at the time and if I shit the bed with weight Ive got the 5x5 to look forward to for next run! Prolly do a 12 site mock up of this easy system and get a solid strain...maybe a classic like Skunk#1 (I like growing out skunk) or that NLxBB, Ill see when I get there but its gonna be time to oreder seeds in the next week here sooooooo.....see you around easty thanks for stoppin in!

Nah don't underestimate it bro, you'll end up with some chunky ass colas as well hey, just keep stretching those branches out, i think you'll be surprised. I really didnt think mine would stretch as much as they did. Is your light up as far as it can go? I put mine up straight away and thats why she stretched, if you do the same, they'll reach to the light ;)

Early days yet SouP, magic will still happen!! This current run of mine I left the light in a fixed position. When start of growing the distance from canopy to light would be around 1100mm. I found this quite good for getting my plants to stretch out from the start, and makes for easier training. I only use HPS lighting which helps also i think. The strain of plant also has a heap to do with it, I grew a white rhino which had fat leaves like your plants, and that always grew into a thick bushy little plant. Best of luck mate;)

Well Im certainly hoping for some good ganja fortune... so thanks for the vote of confidence!;) My hood is as high as it can possibly get in that low ceiling-ed tent, just about 30" so like 76cm right? Might have to leave it there for temp reasons too...

Thanks chipper! Ya man I usually flower with a MH for the first 10-14 days but I decided to keep the HPS in once I had tamed the temp concerns....prolly a good thing huh?? :) Still hoping for the bushes to pulllllllll through!!!! Keep my expectations for an unproven strain low and never be let down ya know?? :)

Yeah thats sweet dude, my light was about 80cm above the canopy for the start of flower too and now sits about 40-50cm above lol. You should get some good stretch with yours where it is and fill out your screen :D

Talk about temperature!! As you have been reading, I struggle with mine. It is getting colder now which is great!
I have not fixed my plumbing yet, plants only have 10 day left. So I was thinking changing it up to a straight 22mm return line. Should fix it?
I would like to get some more pressure into to my water rings. Would running a 19mm hose out of my water pump and then reducing it down to 13mm just before my water rings increase pressure? I dont really want to buy another pump!

How is your grow doing mate?

I wasnt trying to start an argument in that other thread on your behalf BTW Chipper! Its just never ceases to amaze me how people on here want to argue with documented results! Im glad the weather is gonna be changing in your favor meh should be gettin some SUPER dense bats in the near future then! You got me thinking though, if you can get your humidity down to around 25% you could effectively use a portable swamp cooler for that space, run it 24/7 for SUPER low price. The straight shot return line is gonna be your best bet, but if I were you dealing with the roots that like to mess with that joint I would use a car hose clamp in addition! Just for piece of mind! (Im a plumber and the thought of leaks give me fucking nightmares) As far as your other question, whenever you reduce diameter you are in turn going to increase pressure, I dont think you need another pump, but just out of curiosity why in crease the pressure instead of just running the pump longer?

My plants are doing okay, after doing a shit load of research Ive come to the conclusion that Ive been ODing them on silica. There is almost no documentation on Si toxicity in reference to botany, but I am convinced that Ive achieved it. Not to worry, the long term effects are not daunting and I will be cutting the protekt from my nute recipe as of now. Im looking forward to seeing some explosive bud development over the next few weeks! Also the clones I cut have begun to root against all odds so ill have some of these bushy mastodons around for awhile. Heres some pics of the screen gettin filled in and some pics of the silica toxicity (Looks like slug or snail damage, but its not, unfortunately its on quite a few leaves but the plants still look alright) Thanks for stoppin bye dude!-S0uP

Whats up dude?? I was giving them like 7ml/Gallon of protekt which is roughly 3 times your application rate in addition to using it as a ph up:o , but this was some what intentional as I knew that 200w/Sqft is A LOT of intensity and I was anticipating potential heat problems. Silica, as you know Im sure, helps the plant deal with various issues including heat stress and light intensity.... If you do research into Silica toxicity in plant life there is little to no information available. Some even state that you CANT give too much silica to a plant, this goes against everything I know about nature though, as too much of any substance in my experience, no matter how vital ie. air and water will prove fatal at some dose. I am living proof to be modest in your application rates with any food you feed your plants! Right now Im experiencing some deformed leaf formation and the gaps you see in the leaves pictured above, all in all they will live!:) I still have hopes for a successful harvest! Thanks for stoppin bye! -S0uP

Hey easty! It should be pretty close when it comes down to filling that screen! But hey, if the canopy isnt perfectly even it will be okay...I could always stake bud sites that need support. Im not seeing as many dominant bud sites as I would have hoped for but this is my first Scrog so Ill chalk it up to a learning experience;) As far as the color of the leaves, this is one of the reasons I think these are Mastodon kush cuts from emerald triangle. If you look at there webpage for the strain they have a pic with the same color leaves on a few huge bushes....I like it:) I hope some of those colors come through at the end of flower although I dont ever seem to be able to get my lights off temps low enough to make any difference! How are your plants bro? Should be gettin pretty close right? They were looking damn good the last time I saw them! -S0uP

Good avrò mate. Yeh i was trying to tell them although it not ideal it can be done! They quality may also be drop a little, but it is still far better than buying thats for sure!!
My plants are getting enough water, pump comes on for 15 mins for every light hour plus once through out the night. My idea is to try and get a little more oxygen into grow medium. I figure water spraying out of little holes will have more oxygen than water dribbling through! I could be way of the mark though!! We are half way through autumn now so it is cooling at night a fair bit, still warm during the day. Cool weather also better for beer fermentation:razz:

They are two very green ladies you have there, looking pretty heathly to me! You will have a lovely canopy appear i think! Glad to hear about your babies rooting up for ya too:clap: I had trouble getting mine to take this round:mad:

Wish I had one leaf that green soup! Looking great and seems like she is pushing some growth out now. I think you are gonna have some fat terminals at the end of those main branches. I always trim anything that hasnt reached the bottom of the screen by the end of week 2. After that I try to limit trimming to the little shoots that spring up. They are going to really start throwing out some colas under that 1000 here pretty soon. Peace

Yeah man it will be pretty damn close hey! Bit of extra support would be sweet if they need it, heres hoping they do lol.

Are you for real about the leaves on the emerald triangle plant? Thats wicked :D it actually looks almost like too much N to me but if thats how its suppose to look, who am i to argue ;)

My girl is going well man, just put the MH globe back in to try get some more resin happenin, we'll see :) getting very close though, about 2 weeks to go i think. She's starting to really smell too, finally had to use my diy carbon filter, god i hope it works cos it is really noticable inside my house, almost like the smell is seeping through the brick walls :O
