I 'lowered the lamp again. What lowered? Yes lowered I added a fan to the hood to cool it a bit, works 'ok', and I still get the ambient heat, but also added a 'Topshield Pro Spreader', different from the one on an Adjust-a-Wing but similar purpose: to remove the hotspots directly below the lamp allowing the lamp to be lowered significantly in addition to more uniformly spread/diffuse the light. Currently not running the fan, and only one of the clip fans. The problem with adding more fans is that it becomes harder to find a balance. For example, if I turn off a fan the temp rises and the exhausts starts running faster cooling it down again.
While I should be using a better reflector (no space for the one I want, Lumatek/Gavita) and I while would normally 'not' use this thing as it is bound to reduce the light, it's rather perfect for my situation:

Next episode I will show an updated pic of the fat stem which looks even more like a tree now (no longer round/cylinder), the first crystals (way more on Kolossus than Liberty Haze), and the 30 yards of binding wire I use to pull it all down a couple of inches.

I think, every time I open my closet, oww, so nice dark green As you can see there is quite a bit of diff between the pics too (diff cameras and light conditions) so yeah what you see is not exactly what I see. Nevertheless, they are at least near that limit. The base nutes from H&G, the A and B component are the same during veg and flower so can't strip N, but, got rez refresh planned for today (if I can find batteries for my EC meter) at week 6 12/12 (slow flowering start, will need 10 weeks at least) and they will get less base nutes now and more flower additives/boosts decreasing the amount of N relatively, so it should work out.I don't know if it's the lighting tho, but the green look a little deep, like you at your limit as far as giving them N! What do you think?
Its the God Father of Bud!!!I love me som NL!
I wonder if I could find one of the light covers on this side of the pond...Or maybe on Amazon?! What are they called technically? Thanks guys
The spreader works really well to remove that hotspot directly below it. As close as 4 inch is supposedly possible (made for 600w in particular). THAT part definitely works. The diffusing also 'seems' to work, but I can't help wondering at what cost. Since my plants are so long now I need to grow colas rather than the smaller (but more) scrogg buds I'm used to. For that I need the light to penetrate as deeply as possible, but also the heat/warmth, which it obviously does less with this spreader. Just need to log temps for a few days, with diff fan combinations and lamp distances and see what works best.

In reality the ones in the middle (front and back) are looking best (dark green but not too dark), the kolossus on the front right 'had' a small hint of brown in the green. Not like brown brown, but it's like an army camouflage green. The one in the front left is a runt. Pale from the start, meager flowers, should have killed her. Instead she gets very little canopy space now (a little over 1x1', not even on pics but left around the corner).
Spreader is the technical name. The one I have is a Topshield Pro spreader, part of a relatively new reflector/hood developed in NL (Topshield Pro XL-1 Reflector). Not sure if they entered the international market. But, there is also the spreader that goes with an Adjust-a-Wing, google 'adjust a wing spreader' and notice the smaller spreader in the image results. Works slightly differently (alu with holes in it to block/reflect some light), but also removes that hotspot directly below the lamp. Allows an Adjust-a-wing to be at 12" difference from canopy.I wonder if I could find one of the light covers on this side of the pond...Or maybe on Amazon?! What are they called technically?
"hand shoes" I work with a lot of americans and ran into that one before. Reminds me of a 'story' about an old dutch politician visiting an old us president and the latter asked what do you do for hobbies and the dutch guy said "I fok horses" ("fok" is dutch for breeding, animals in particular). Also another Q, is it warm enough ANYWHERE in NL for ppl to partake in outdoor lol? I know thats kinda random but it doesn't seem possible!
I remember damn not being able to go out with "hand shoes" lol bcuz it was always that DAMN COLD!

http://www.olded.nl/Old%20Ed%20geschiedenis.html (horribly translated page) Nederwiet is from origin US weed acclimatized for the Netherlands (and improved upon for decades to get it at the quality it is now and tripple the THC level). Another outdoor strain everyone my age smoked is Purple, was grown also by one of the more known legalization activists 'Doede de Jong' (add 'wiet' and check google image search ). Back in the day many coffeeshops had at least a couple of outdoor grown on the menu, but the first ones started largely on outdoor grown weed. Last summer and this summer so far is horrible, but a good summer here is temp wise pretty good for Mj, the real problem is humidity level, both indoors, and during late summer/early fall outdoors. I've grown quite a few mj plants in gardens and balconies myself over the past decades, even a couple last crappy summer which made me pick up indoor growing again (stopped for 5 years).
I look forward to following the progress of your new run, are you going to keep a journal?
Woops, edited out too much... Missing the part where I said: I took like to keep them small normally:

"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Sativied again."Thanks for the comment budolskie
Since it fits canopy control cause of the scrog but involved quite a bit of manual cropping as well, figured I post a quick overview of my previous round. Sugar Punch, organic. Best run I had. Pics aren't entirely in order.
