Prison experiences

........snip......
"The defendants had a duty to prevent these fights from occurring and they did not," Conklin said.
When sending rival inmates into the yard together, the guards knew the prisoners were bound by an unwritten code of conduct to attack or face retaliation from their own gang, Conklin said. "You will learn that these fights were anything but voluntary," he said.
Defense attorneys said the guards were simply following a well-known prison system practice called the "integrated yard policy" that ultimately led to the prisoner fights........snip........
Ahhhhhhh political correctness, if you refuse to see reality it can bite you hard. What I always wondered is why only the CO's lives were destroyed. Why only the guys following orders. Why not the suits, who gave the orders? These are the type of things I ponder at times, sigh.

Just to keep things in proper perspective, woody was correct....this was no kindergarten class. Most of these guys were well past dirtsurfr caliber.....I have a question for the group. What would you do if you found out one of your inmate workers, had committed some of the most heinous & vicious crimes imaginable?....let's say they have been assigned to your work crew, what would you do?...............there's an inmate at Folsom, that carjacked a young couple & their infant baby, for their car. He drove them to some rural property and shot & killed the husband as soon as he got out of the car, right in front of the wife. Then he put the baby into a microwave oven & video'ed her reaction as he turned it on and cooked her baby....He then raped & tortured her to death over the several days it took her to succumb...the detectives that investigated the case (and watched the videos) needed counseling...he cut a deal to avoid the death penalty. Because he was abused as a child & because they believe there may be more victims, they agreed.....he's doing life at Folsom........this is no kindergarten class, is right.....what would you do?.....
Well being that this thread is obviously full of people that follow the "CODE" the question of what we would do is quite redundant. I am not saying anything except that with your previous career, you know exactly what would be done,Maybe most in this thread would try to ignore it and do their time. But that's not the CC now is it?

Sorry, the courts have decided..........you get him for life.........
Courts? Court is a brick building, after that your fate is with us. I could not bring myself to imagine being a CO(no offense) but I would assume only a word spoken to the right people would see true justice exacted.

Every time I would let an inmate off the hook for a minor rule violation, I would recite that line from the movie..... "Accept this gift as a token of our friendship, someday I may ask you to do a service for me, until then......"..................they were now my 'bitch'.....they owed me.....hey, this is prison, nobody said it was fair.....for anybody....lol

Or the wrong word if you weren't careful...........I made sure that if I wanted to have a conversation with an inmate, I would go down onto the floor and talk to him in public, never call him into my office.....it kept everything out in the open & others couldn't take it the wrong way.........If I wanted to fuck with you, all I had to do was walk up and whisper in your ear!.....

All this is just so sad. Until we come together inmates AND guards, and all the other polarized portions of society that the guys in the suits at the top manipulate against each other in their constant search for people as parts for their money machines we are just pawns on their board.

We have to OCCUPY both sides. Instead of constantly following their scripts we have to TAKE THE GROUND from them. Is it possible? Can we find common ground in each other and realize that all these things do is turn us ALL into animals and that neither side wins? The only people winning are the guys at the top who make the money off the games they set up and the rules we then think we have to play by.

At some point will enough of us see this to reach critical mass and take it back. I doubt it, sigh.
I need to stop posting after getting blasted, LOL,

curious, I have no common ground with an animal who commits atrocities like putting a baby in a microwave. I refuse to have common ground with anyone that deliberatly inflicts pain onto children.

See it won't work... I'm not talking about the outliers. I'm talking about the meat and potatoes segment of the prison's that are the bread and butter of corporations. I KNOW this is impossible. I participate in the game too. I get it. But the solution is so simple and elegant. I wonder if we will ever evolve to take it back. Because by now we know civil wars just change who is running the show.

I get that my proposition is fatally flawed. I just can't see any other solution and I'm tired of being used. Ah well this is very sad. No one comes out of this whole or healthy and I'm sorry for that.

Come on guy's you know the "code".....if I go into your cell & fuck with your stuff, and you do nothing, what happens?....you get labeled as weak & you won't have shit by the end of the week......Well if you violate the rules in my factory & I do nothing, what happens?....the inmates would be running rampshod all over me in a week......the alternative was to hang a write-up on some lifer that could give a rat's ass about another chickenshit write up......I HAD to charge him something......come on guy's you know the code......
