quick electrical question. please help

so today i called the department of water and power to turn on the power for my new place, but since it zoned in the business side they asked a shit load of question. long sorry short the guy on the phone was asking me what i would be running, i didnt want to tell him i would be running 4 x 1000w lights to grow herb duh. so the quickest thing that came to mind i said i was having a 2 or 3 ton a/c installed. he quickly said that would be to much power as i only have a 110v 1 phase meter. he said i would need a 3 phase.

actual equipment i would be running would be
4 x1000w with a titan or cap controller
24,000 btu split a/c for flower
12,000 portable a/c for veg and living space
600w mh
a couple of can fans
and wall mount fans

so for those of you who understand what the guy said on the phone, can you please tell me in stoner terminology.

will i be able to run this equipment?

is this an easy fix my electrician can do?

you dont need 3 phase u just need single phase 220v service
but u will need to upgrade breaker box if its not a 200 amp panel
which u can tell by looking at numbers on main breaker
3 phase is industrial power

as for excuses u can say u weld as hobby or have pottery kiln

no problem
one the main breaker the switch has amp numbers on lever
here are some pics i got of all the electrical shit i can think of.
ps i posted my question on another forum and this dude said that the guy i talked to on the phone from the power company was right :[ . (about that any electrician can just up grade my shit that it would have to be the city ) im thinking its bull because if there is people who steal this shit without the city how can i not just upgrade with a friendly electrician ? if you think other wise donny or anyone else please feel free to chime in 20130701_163005.jpg20130701_163116.jpg20130701_163128.jpgScreenshot_2013-07-01-22-26-51.jpg

the first pick i could not reach it was a bit high lol.. the last pic you see seems to be where im getting my power from out side. my neighbor has one just like it but i dont think he is using it ... he seems to be using this20130701_165500.jpg
i didnt want to get to close and make it seem like i was snooping around because the tenant before me said hes pretty sure they are growing herb which i dont really care better for me everyone minds there own. but anywho do i nned something like what he has?

no clue on that crap but when i built my grow unit i and added a 50amp breaker to my power box and ran that power line to a small sub breaker box for just 2 breakers, i then split them into 2 -25 amp breakers and my grow uses one side and my shop uses the other side.. but i rarely use more power then needed even when working in the sho with power tools on.. you want to be safe as possible with your power, can get ya caught if it starts going haywire or a big jump in consumption.. also if fire starts the fire compant can pull your power meter until the power is properly fixed by a certified electric persons ..and fire is a no no..

True, the guy from power co [DWP} said was true, if you were going to go with a large AC you'd need three phase, but you aren’t so forget what he said...
He was a "service planner" now to your reality:

I can not read your main breaker...

actual equipment I would be running would be
4 x1000w with a titan or cap controller
24,000 btu split a/c for flower
12,000 portable a/c for veg and living space
600w mh
a couple of can fans
and wall mount fans

4000 watts lighting 4 -220 dedicated circuits
24,000 btu [I assume 1500-1800 watts] dedicated 120 vac circuit
12,000 btu portable [I assume 1000-1200 watts]
600 w MH -dedicate circuit 120 vac
Fans [all on same dedicated circuit] less than 1500 watts
So, doing a quick load count, I come up with slightly more than 10,000 watts
Divide by 220 vac = Less than 50 amps continuous load…
A 100 amp service will suite you fine…
Ohm’s law, let it be your friend….
Good Luck….Everything is cool….Let the grow begin!

in the pic of label what does it say above drawing ? where it says max load 1?? is that saying 100 or 150 amps
and do u also live there or just using to grow
and u dont need three phase

Sand4x knows whats he's talking about for sure. Follow up with him. I go to school for engineering and have done construction before. He's basically telling you what is most important to worry about when you are designing your electrical panel.

What was the property used for before? 3 phase is what all (mainly)commercial building have. Your not requiring this unless you plan on expanding and opening a shop or something else. I run almost 15,000 watts in the home I live in. You should have no issues, just use certain breaker solely for the grow equipment. 100 amp service would be more than fine but if you have to change the breaker box bump it up to a 150-200 amp box, might as well prep for expansion.

need to be careful indeed friend, i dont plan on doing this shit on my own, because everything you said bout spiting 2-25 amp breakers sounds like rocket science im just trying to get an understanding so i know what to tell my electrician.
thank you bass1014 for talking time to answer my post

before me it was used for designing t shirt printing them all other machinery ... but when i talked to the last tenant he said that the flip swith on the breaker would pop on and off. i guess they were using too much and over loading it

I had to have the power company come out and upgrade my service and put a new box in to run 200 amps. i told them i just bought a spa

i would put a 200 amp service tell them you just bought a spa and a couple other high engery items. run some thick coper wire not illuminum. at least a 6 gauge.
