religion is a fucked up mentallity.the real religion is of what u believe,and not a cult like a church.do what makes u happy,if ur stressed,listen to relaxin music,go out do something fun,enjoy yourself,bc lifes to short to be cultivated by cults.i believe in god,but i also believe and follow other religions as a whole,bc if u think about it,every relig has a god or some other follower,they all are the same,they share very similar views,and vary in differences from culture to culture."God" cares for all livin things,so who is it to us to judge that there is one god,just look at other religs some have 5gods and or deities.its all one bein and if u feel happy then dont change anything,bc ultimately its about caring for yourself,your family and those who influenced u to be the way u are.

Um i think the point of Jesus dying on the cross was to save us from our sins? meaning his grace is enough. if you think about it your sinning when you worry so stop worrying and chill.but thats just my opinion and i don't want to debate religion.

save us from our sins, so Jesus says that you can not get into heaven unless you are free of sin, or are truly sorry for your sins. so if he saved us from our sins, prior to us being saved from them we were unable to enter into the kingdom of heaven correct?
honestly have either of you ever read the Bible in its entirety?
I often get into heated debates about religion with my Muslim friends, and they give me an answer simmilar to yours, that if you worry about it or question it your are sinning. the quaran isnt so different from the Bible, I only made it halfway through though, really similar, and what it says on jesus is pretty interesting, though I can hardly rememeber what it said
I dont think god cares if you question religion, or if you are worried about what religion to chose and what to believe and or do spiritualy, quite frankly I think that god would be worried abot the people who blindly believe religion and who arent worried about what they are following is right.
I mean come on in catholic school they told you not to read the bible, The vatacan still discourages against people reading the bible, yet its the most printed book, (probably still the least read )
they especialy discourage you from reading the old testament with all its dark stories of killing, raping, kidnapping, stealing, slavery, mutilation, monsters with 7 heads and even the invention of sodomy! now thats what I call an fantasy, action, thriller!!!
Come on the first book of the new testement wasn't written until 150 years after jesus' death by a man who never met jesus and probably didnt even have a friend of a friend of a friend who met him, since we have scientific evidence that he never existed!
We've all played the game telephone in school back in the day, and we know how much a story can change in 15 minutes let alone 150 years!
and I'm noteven going to get into when the Bible was literally torn apart burned and practically rewritten by people who had almost no morality and didnt care about you.
does god really hate gays as he says in the bible? I mean he says that they should be killed, so should we kill all the gay people? retarted people were killed as well, slavery was fair play in the Bible is that okay with you as well?
who decides what to follow and what not to? some old man who hears voices in his head that he claims or not even him that a group of cardenals decided that he hears gods voice? does god not like young people? you have to be at least 65 or so to become pope, does that mean god wont talk to you until you reach the rip old age of 65? it just dosnt make sense, God dosnt care how old you are, its man who cares. and I dont even know what I'm rambling on about, this was just a waist of time and highness.

I totaly get what your saying lacy and the church is always stressing to us that you cant take the bible literally, and I get that, alot of it is nutso stuff that makes no sence if you take it literally. but I mean jesus does state clearly at least 2 times that I can recal that you must sell everything you have, I dont know how else to interpret that other than, sell yo shit foo!!!! You so can't take the bible literally. I think this was just meant to not be too materialistic.
I can understand that jesus says that in order to go to heaven you need to be born again, thats a simple analagy I guess we can call it, I can halfway understand that he wants us to be as children, but sell my stuff?! another thing in the bible that always got to me, and this was a part our teachers told us was to be taken literally, is that people were living to be 800 years old, having kids at over 100, and then god making it so we cant live past 120. which people have been older than 120 so I guess god screwed that up too.
but anyway, my argument with my religiouse teacher was that people have a hard time keeping their teath for 40 years, let alone 800!!! its just imposible to keep your teath for that long especialy 3000 years before jesus, when they didnt even think of dental hygiene. I just dont get it. I don't think the bible was written for anyone to get.
