2 days hanging. The frost has more than doubled. The hairs are changing colors, and the trichs have gained a lot more cloudy, I even saw one amber, the leaf is showing a general yellowing. So from what I see so far. Between the shock of being cut off from the root system, and still maintaining growth light cycle. The bud is still maturing but at a much greater rate than if attached.
A shot of the plant the branch was pulled from. Visible difference in maturity.
I'm thinking 3 more days of dry before jar, but if it gets too much amber I'll trim fans and finish hang dry in a cool dark place.

Do you think you'd achieve the same results if the branch was trimmed before hanging?

Thx alot. Yeah funny how the frost seems to have come earlier than the mothers from last grow. I actually think i had a worse enviroment this grow. Funny how cannabis keeps surprising.

Well my train of thought (which could be traveling twice the rated speed of the corner) is that the leaf is the food source for building more trichs and continued maturing. Once the food is gone I believe that it will die, and I want to have it either jarred or finishing drying in the dark prior to death.

Whether through photosynthesis or catabolism they are the plants food source.

Are you going to try a branch in a gglass of water too watt? I really like the idea of letting the buds mature and leech. It'll be at least 3 months before I can do a more scientific trial of it. My little seedlings are on 4 th set of leaves and close to ready for some LST ...reveg girls are stuck in stasis going to bump light from 20/4 to,24 hours a day. Cheer WOH

Made ABV cannabutter tonight. 9 grams to just under 1/2 cup of butter. Jar-double-boiler method 'cause it's just a better method overall.
Made 12 cookies. Four of em' (3g dose) got me past the tolerance wall I've hit lately! Kicked in ~30 minutes after eating, but weakly (the feeling I get from the first hit of the day). A buzz, I guess. Took another 2 hours for any real effect but now we're rollin'.
I think I'll save up at least 20g per stick next time. Eating 4 of those cookies makes me feel high-risk for diabeetus.

thats it my friend. i chopped her last night, i woulda took more pics but by the end of it all i just wanted to brush my teeth and go to sleep. lol. Im thinking i might end up with about 6oz dry but only time and my cheap 20$ scale will tell.

Awesome Stevie, can't rep you anymore right now but I can say you represent our "hempy family" very well...no putting a cigarette lighter up to those colas...the can did the trick for me!
